Ranked Howling Abyss draft pick

Not ARAM, but a draft pick system implemented onto Howling Abyss.

Probably some slight adjustment to healing relics positioning and healing amount, early game tower protection (probably like for 3-4 minutes), and some anti-waveclear measures would likely be enough to balance the map for different comps.

People tend to think that long ranged poke mages are the top tier picks in Howling Abyss, but heavy engage teams (3-4 frontline) are also very strong, especially against such a comp, due to how strong Spirit Visage and Warmog's Armor are.. It's also possible to build a Kog'Maw+4 support comp, or Master Yi+4 support comp, etc., so I don't think stagnant meta will become a big issue. It'll probably come and go just like in Summoner's Rift, depending on buffs and nerfs to items and champions.

It'll also bring about the shorter games Riot has been wanting, while at the same time giving enough chance to early game comps and reducing insane snowballing that people feel like they can't do anything against.

Thoughts?

Stagnant meta will become a big issue because there are no buffs/nerfs to items and champs. Riot's explicitly said they don't plan on doing map-specific champ balancing anymore, and SR balance changes don't tend to noticeably impact HA. TT kinda skirts the issue by offering additional strategic options besides "run at them," but that's not the case here.

Ranked ARAM would make much more sense than ranked draft HA. Randomness mitigates the "stagnant meta" issue while also testing and rewarding a different skillset than the other ranked options currently available (i.e. generalist skills rather than specialist).
