Smite upgrades that can be cast on allies.

We are all familiar with the blue and red smite, which can be used on enemy champions. I think riot could explore this concept more by adding smite upgrades that can be used on allied champions. Concepts:

Yellow smite: When used on a friendly champion, provides the target with a MS buff and a small amount of slow ressistance.

Green smite: Heals the targeted friendly champion for a certain amount and provides a small boost to health regen. or Provides the targeted friendly champion with a small amount of damage reduction and increases its MR and Armor by x.

Grey smite: Targeted friendly champion gains a small shield to block incoming damage.

The current smite upgrades provide more ganking/offensive power, these could be used for counterganks/giving the jungler some defensive tools.

I like this idea, but this Ivern lil weenie is strong enough as is. As long as we get some nerfs...

I feel green smite would be confusing with the current trackers knife

Makes sense. If someone smited my butt with a magical lightning bolt designed to murder deadly monsters like dragons and Baron Nashor, I'd start moving faster, too!

Suddenly, smite exhaust becomes meta on supports.

I think that will be a little too much of the good stuff right now. With these items already excistingitem 3504 item 3107 item 3222 item 3190 item 3109 item 3050

ADC's will become invincible.

Instead of smite they would have to call it blessing or something, because smite implies...ya know... smiting.summoner 11 summoner 11 summoner 11

Nice idea but will be very complex to balance. I think we should stick to items. And monsters.

i think they should buff green smite to refill wards if you kill scuttle with smite.

Clementine6/26/2017, 6:49:37 PM1 votes

Pretty sure no jungler would use that. Red smite is way strong. Also, Ivern doesn't finish Tracker's so it'd really just be Nunu.
