How i would balance URF (WARNING: this is my opinion, dont get your knickers in a twist.)

If i could balance URF for the next time it comes around i would do it this way:

1# If its going to be ARURF: A ban phase where each player gets 1 ban, the game then chooses a champion for you from the ENTIRE champ roster that isnt banned. If someone dodges because he got a champ he didnt like, the game gives him the same champ again the next time he plays. If you used your reroll and someone dodged, you will be given your reroll back.

2# If its going to be regular URF: A ban phase where each player gets 1 ban.

3# If possible, make both types of URF available in both normals and custom. This way everyone gets to pick theyr poison, do you want to play a relatively random mess where you dont get to pick your champ or a tryhard filled mess with people that will gravitate to the next best thing after the top 10 broken champs get permabanned.

J/K. That's pretty much what a group of people wants.

'URF' and 'balance' should not even be used in the same sentence. URF is not meant to be balanced. Eliminating resource costs is by definition an elimination of a balance mechanic, .. but having read the rest of your post, I understand that you are not using it in this way. Still, .. avoid using these terms together, please.

1# If its going to be ARURF: A ban phase where each player gets 1 ban, the game then chooses a champion for you from the ENTIRE champ roster that isnt banned.

You realize that this would actually make the champion roster requirements more strict than ranked? More bans means greater minimum champion pool requirement.

If someone dodges because he got a champ he didnt like, the game gives him the same champ again the next time he plays.

Will not not necessarily reduce dodging. Someone may still dodge because they don't like the composition of their team. It will also potentially cause someone to completely abandon that game type. It may also increase the amount of trolling because that player will then be forced to play that champion no matter what. Sometimes it is simply better to let them dodge because it is far less painful to the other players.

If you used your reroll and someone dodged, you will be given your reroll back.

I actually really like this idea and I think it should be added to current ARAMs

3# If possible, make both types of URF available in both normals and costum.

I don't see any reason why they couldn't have both available simultaneously, but I think the idea is to have them be different modes.

This way everyone gets to pick theyr poison, do you want to play a relatively random mess where you dont get to pick your champ

I personally think the random aspect is more fun, but that is my opinion (as I understand and respect that all you have said so far has been yours.

or a tryhard filled mess with people that will gravitate to the next best thing after the top 10 broken champs get permabanned?

I'm pretty sure what you just described is exactly the very reason why they made this run all random. This way they don't need to worry about banning, or perma-banning champions. People still get to occasionally play the champions they want to play, and in order to win you more often need to work with a less than ideal team. When it comes to your chances of winning or losing, I actually believe your skill and teamwork is a greater factor than who managed to pick the most OP champions. While it is still would not call it 'balanced', this way, your odds are at least more even.
