Ancelin, Blessed and Accursed(This is a rework of my older champion idea Erizon - The Lone Wanderer. Critique and possible balancing issues are welcome)


Lane and Role – Melee Top/Support Fighter/Bruiser

Recommended stats – Attack Damage, Attack Speed, Cooldown Reduction, Mana

Story – In Shuriman Desert, close to the Tempest Flats there was a injured and ragged man without food or water, trying to find shelter. While he was limping through the desert he found a small wooden shack just randomly being in the middle of nowhere. His hope made him pick the rest of his strength and get to the doors. Before he could even get through it, the door opened. A single person was standing there in shadows. The only thing to be distinguishable was a long staff of a transparent blue color. As he was badly hurt he didn’t made it to the shack by himself and collapsed. He waked up after few hours inside the shack. As he was trying to look around he noticed that stranger sitting close to him, treating his wounds with substance unknown to him. The substance was emitting light blue color and treated his wounds way faster than anything he ever saw. ,,Here, have some water and bread. You need to get stronger before you leave.‘‘ the stranger said with calm voice, confusing the injured man. He started thanking the stranger for saving his life and begging him to stay at least for two days to what the stranger after some time agreed. He asked the stranger who he is and why he lives in this place. The stranger sat down and started talking. ,,So you want to know who I am then. Well my name is Ancelin and no. I do not live here. We could say that I am just a wanderer. I have seen a lot. Demacia, Noxus, Mount Gargantuan, Freljord,Kaladoun, Zaun, Piltover, Bubbling Bog, even Ionia. What I am doing now is wandering through Shurima towards the Bandle City where I would like to stay for some time. Pitch a camp somewhere close if I will be able to get there.‘‘ Then he just points to his weapom leaning against the wall. ,,This is very special weapon. It weights almost nothing, it is transparent and comes out from this.‘‘ he says and cries out a single tear of the same color, emitting light and transparency. After that he makes few moves and the tear itself shifts form into an axe. ,,Do not be scared because this is what also healed your wounds. And it’s my burden to wear. Some people would call it curse. I call it life. I found this when I was way younger in a destroyed temple. It was in a small rocky box and I was very curious. After I touched it, it immediately flew into my body. I do not have a blood now. Instead i have this Eternalum as I call it because this is what keeps me alive.‘‘ he stops talking and looks towards the doors. Then he stands up, drinks a bit of water. ,,You better get some sleep. I am leaving in two days with everything what remains here. And you will leave aswell.‘‘

Looks – Ancelin has short brown hair with Bandholz-like beard. He is wearing a grey colored light leather armor with black colored cape with hood. His weapon of choice is a magical fluid that changes its look depending on what part of passive was chosen. Namely Bearded Axe, Daibo and Maul. The weapon itself is almost fully transparent with light blue color and is said to have almost no weight. Ancelin calls the fluid Eternalum.

Affiliation – None. He consider himself neutral.

Abilities: Passive – Ancelin can choose one out of three effects at the start of the game. The chosen passive cannot be changed after. ** 1. Crippling Strike(Bearded Axe) ** – Every 8 seconds Ancelin becomes charged. His next attack deals 80% of his AD as bonus damage and slows enemy hit for 45% for 1 second. Every attack lowers cd by 0,75 sec. ** 2. Healing Burst(Daibo) ** – Every 8 seconds Ancelin becomes charged. His next attack deals 65% of his AD as bonus damage and heals him for the same amount Every attack lowers cd by 0,75 sec. If an ally champion is in range(700) of Ancelin, the heal will be transfered to either allied champion or Ancelin depending on current % of max HP. Ally with lowest % of max HP will be healed. ** 3. Force Blast(Maul) ** – Every 8 second Ancelin becomes charged. His next attack deals 70% of his AD as bonus damage to the enemy hit and 50% of his AD as damage in a circle around enemy hit. Every attack lowers cd by 0,75 sec. Radius of the circle is 350.

Q: Deadly Reach Ancelin throws a copy of his weapon at target enemy, dealing 50/100/150/200/250(+65% AD) physical damage, slows enemy hit by 15% for 1 second and marks enemy hit for 8 seconds. If a marked target is hit by Deadly Reach the mark resets,deals 30% more damage, slows for 30% for 1 second and refunds 30% of mana used. Type: Targeted damage Mana: 60/65/70/75/80 Cooldown: 6 seconds Range: 550

W: Sharpened Senses Passive: Ancelin becomes concentrated, taking 6/9/12/15/18% less physical damage from all sources including turrets. Active: When activated Erizon enters a defensive stance for 5 seconds, dealing 12/18/25/33/42 (+ 10% AD) physical damage per enemy hit to the enemy that attacked him by basic attack or ability. Passive part of this ability never goes on cooldown. Type: Passive/Active Buff Mana: 90/105/120/135/150 Cooldown: 25/23/21/19/17 seconds

E: Defensive Strike Ancelin enlarges his weapon, stepping backwards while damaging everything in a cone in front of him for 75/125/175/225/275(+35% AD) physical damage. The ability has different effects based on the passive chosen at the start of the game. If Crippling Strike chosen - Damage is increased by 20%. If Healing Burst chosen - All targets hit will be displaced to the right edge of the cone and heals Ancelin for 15% damage dealt. If Force Blast chosen - All targets hit are knocked up for 0,5 seconds and stunned for 1 sec. Ancelin becomes slowed by 15% for 1,5 seconds. Type: AoE damage Mana: 65/75/85/95/105 Cooldown: 16/14,7/13,4/12,1/10,8 seconds Cone max reach and span – 350

R: Spectral Aura Ancelin channels for one second and then releases a flood of Eternalum Energy in a circle around him for 5 seconds dealing (5% of target Maximum HP) as physical every second to enemies and healing (5% of target Maximum HP) every second to allies. Type: AoE damage/heal Mana: 150/200/250 Cooldown: 150/120/90 seconds Circle radius: 800


Playstyle: ** Early game – ** Playstyle mostly depends on the passive chosen at the start. Crippling Strike is powerful tool to chase down opponents and deal high bonus damage if you are sure to be ahead of your opponent. Healing Burst helps with sustain and outdueling your opponent and the best choice for supporting and when you know that your enemy is stronger. Force blast is great tool for wave clearing and pushing lane. Try to bully your opponent with empowered Q so you have easier time farming. Save your W for enemy ganks as you can deal damage back while running to safety. W has high cooldown on low levels so keep knowledge about enemy jungler whereabouts. E is another great tool to help you deal damage while retreating and damage chasing opponents. ** Mid game – ** Make sure to stock up on enough Mana and Cooldown Reduction to bully anyone who gets too close.... If you picked Crippling Strike you are able to push turrets faster than most toplaners due to bonus damage. If diving, make sure that turret focuses you as you are able to block some of its damage with your W passive. Erizon excels in 1v1 duels. Both short and long but keep in mind that he will not be to outfight two enemies if his W is on cooldown. With his ultimate ready he can easily keep enemies away from objectives while making sure his team stays healthy. ** Late game – ** If you have enough mana you are easily able to abuse Q range and make sure that enemy won’t engage in teamfight if your team is behind. If teamfight is about to start, make sure your ultimate is ready as it is able to deal massive AoE max health damage and healing. Make sure that enemies attack you as you can mitigate part of all physical damage dealt to you and deal damage back.

**Pros – ** Extremely versatile champion. Huge dueling potential. Can heal very quickly. Can either outdamage, outsustain or outpush his opponent. Great disengage in form of potent slows. Bullies really well with low Q cooldown and mana refund. Can passively deal damage while retreating with W and E. Mitigates part of physical damage dealt to him. His ultimate is great zoning tool able to turn teamfights around. His W deals damage everytime he is damaged, making this ability very powerful against champions dealing damage over time.

**Cons – ** No strong initiative tools in his kit. Has no gap closer. If greedy he can be easily ganked. Susceptible to Grievous Wounds, Ignite and any other way of halving healing. W and E have high cooldown on low levels making him easier to fight if he uses too much mana or misuses abilities. Aside of his Q he has no skills to fight with ranged and magic damage dealing champions. Early huge mana dependancy. Suffers against ranged champions.
