Thoughts about Urgot's next skin, from a recently hooked OTP.

Having recently seen this thread (https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/story-art/NVvrfEHm-16-champs-that-have-gone-over-1000-days-wo-a-new-skin ), it got me thinking, at this point its almost embarrassing if Riot hasn't at least STARTED working on an Urgot skin. Hell, Xayah and Rakan will both have as many skins as Urgot when the ESports skins come out later this year, despite only being a few days older than 1 year as of this writing.

And from what I've seen so far, Riot has yet to confirm they are even working on a skin for Urgot. What worries me is that, unlike other champions who have been long awaiting a skin, I have seen almost 0 ideas for cool Urgot skins, leaving me with a sinking feeling that we might end up with something uninspired like Arclight Yorick. While that skin looks good in its own right, it doesn't feel like Yorick really brings much to the table uniquely for that line, more being just a white/gold paint job that just so happens to be on Yorick. The closest I've seen to an inspired idea for Urgot is Dark Star, but quite frankly I think that line has been over-saturated recently.

First thing I want to get into is, no, Star Guardian Urgot is not a good idea. Much like Arclight Yorick, Urgot brings absolutely nothing to that skin line in terms of unique visual opportunities or creative design. The simple meme of "put the ugly character in a tutu" is cheap at best and would be absolutely tragic to dedicate to an entire skin we've waited this long for, in addition to the fact that nobody I have ever seen calling for that skin has been an avid Urgot player themselves, so they wouldn't have to suffer the consequences of their own ill founded joke. In addition, Urgot has become a much better designed, much more respectable character since his rework, I hope this is enough of a reason for Riot to maintain the integrity and not cave in for this skin.

With that being said, I have 3 ideas of varying seriousness to propose, on the off chance that Riot hasn't started on his skin yet or is willing to look for inspiration concerning his in progress skin (don't worry, I don't ACTUALLY think this post will have any impact, its more just for fun).

1: Carnival/Surprise Party Urgot. While the intended theme matches closer to the aesthetic of a Carnival, this skin idea would fit just fine under the already established line of Surprise Party. If it were to be Surprise Party, we'd basically have to wait an entire extra year for next April Fool's so its unlikely in that respect, but this is also my favorite idea of the 3. The idea is that Urgot himself is a clown, with all the creepy and uncanny horror that accompanies that mantle. His legs could be made out of ride parts, the human half is dolled up as a clown, and the whole skin would mesh so well with his existential voice over. "It is not violence. It is, philosophy."

Recall: Really just anything to do with carnival games. Set up some milk jugs and shoot them down, whatever.

Passive: Flaming Shotgun Knees replaced with Confetti Cannons, shooting out a festive mass of detritus in 6 directions, complete with party popper sound effects. This is my favorite idea in this skin, and honestly as the entire inspiration. The sound effects and the visuals on this alone would be worth 1350 rp.

Q: Any number of things, although I fancy an exploding pie a la' Spongebob, although that's an old ass episode so we'll see if anybody actually knows what I'm talking about. Other options could be really cartoony dynamite or just stylized explosives. Any ideas for this one would be welcome, exploding pie might stay on top though.

W/Auto Attacks: Multi Colored Plastic balls fired at high velocity with a satisfying thump sound effect. Shield could be a balloon, idk, his W doesn't have all that much in visual effects. Thoughts?

E: Doesn't really have visuals, not sure what you can really do with this one.

R: The projectile could be an old time-y cane, like the ones that pull characters off screen in Looney Tunes. Either that, or just something cartoonish/silly. All I know is that the chains should be the multi-colored infinite rope of tied handkerchiefs, the music that plays for the 4 seconds that the ult is on someone should be generic Carnival/Music-Box music, and the sound of childish laughter should play when you execute someone.

2: Gentleman Urgot. First things first, Malicious Metal deserves the credit for this one. He posted a similar thread a while back with concept art that I can't find for the life of me, I'd love to include it if someone could, that featured Urgot with interchangeable mechanical components. This included replacing both his arms and legs with more conventional human like appendages, but it ALSO featured him wearing a dapper and menacing Mob Boss Coat. If you wanted you could even make this a throwback skin and change the name to Kingpin Urgot and make it more crime themed, not that Kingpin Twitch is really a skin worth referencing. The idea is pretty simple, Urgot Cleans himself up for a night out under the town. If you need any more of an idea of what this would look like, think Randall Boggs from Monsters Inc. but with Urgot instead.

Recall: I imagine this could be some reference to his interchangeable parts, swap his legs out for a chair, or maybe his arm out for a cane or fancy telescope.

Passive: Not too much to do here, maybe shoot cash? Probably unchanged, any ideas?

Q: Could take the Gnar route and have this be a pocket watch, or it could be a locket or some kind of formal, gang style explosive.

W/ Autos: Sleeker, Mafia ADC style auto attacks, W active could feature his weapon visually glowing as he overheats it, could be a rotating barrel mini-gun where the barrel only rotates during his W. Again, the shield part doesn't have much for visuals, thought are welcome.

E: Most I can think of is some kind of fancy, extraneous arm/torso movement.

R: There are some 1350 rp skins that get a voice-line or two added, and that's where I think the largest gains could be made for this skin. Some subtle digs at the opponent as they are ripped to shred for Kingpin or some sarcastic nods a dinning etiquette for Gentleman could be hilarious here.

3: BeeKept Urgot. A pair skin for Beekeeper Singed, Urgot IS the bee. I'll admit it, this skin is similar to Star Guardian in that its primary reason for existence is a pretty cheap meme, that being the constant "Bee's Knees" jokes you'd get to make while playing this skin. However, not only to I think that's quite a bit funnier that Star Guardian Urgot (this is just my potentially weird sense of humor, no need to get offended), Urgot also actually brings some unique creative fodder to this design. First of all, Urgot has the proper amount of limbs to role-play as a bee, arms excluded, which is a nice coincidence. While I agree it might be anatomically difficult to literally make Urgot a bee, he could always just be dressed like a bee, really there are a lot of options with this one.

Recall: Flutters around, hopefully with some other bees, finds some honey, so many different things could work here.

Passive: Fires globs of honey, really a no-brainer.

Q: An explosive hexagon of honey comb would be my initial thought, although a flower of some description or even an ensemble of suicidal bees (bees die after they sting, and the skin could borrow the visuals from Battlecast where he shoots 3 small missiles in rapid succession that all explode at once, except read "bees" over missiles) could work.

W/Autos: Shoots little bee stingers for autos, the shield could be a nice honey color with honeycomb hexes, and the ability could create a large buzzing sound.

E: For once I've got something. In addition to his animation where he prepares to pounce forward, Urgot's little bee wings could start fluttering to give him that extra oomph.

R: Obviously, the projectile is a bee stinger, the chains could be something more organic looking, like they did with Crabgot. Also, I did a quick Google search, and Flight of the Bumblebee is open source, since it was written in like 1900. If you've heard it before, you'll know what I mean, that would make a great sound effect for the ult countdown.

In general, I welcome feedback on any of these as well as any further ideas for Urgot skins, as long as they are respectful to Urgot as a champion. The balance team has recently stated they are looking to give Urgot some love in terms of QoL changes and itemization, and I'd love to see similar care taken for him by the creative team. I get that I railed on SG for being a meme skin and then proposed Beegot and Suprise Party (although I prefer the Carnival moniker), but that's mostly because SG doesn't add any potential for a good skin BESIDES the meme, whereas I personally think all 3 of these concepts go at least some distance towards using Urgot's unique creative elements.

Also, if someone could find that art I was talking about, or get MM over here to do it for me, I really would appreciate it.
