Lore "There once a monster who wielded a sword of terrible power, it went from town to town to seek opponents but each time it defeated the strongest all the towns people would lose hope and then monster would move on. One day it found a quiet town and began to terrorize it, and a man stood up to protect his town. They battled and battled, till the man's blade broke but instead of surrendering, the man stood up to continue fighting. The monster was confused and an eerie voiced asked him why did he not give up. The man replied as long as he had breath, he shall never stop fighting. The monster paused, and the voice asked if that was a promise. The man was confused and asked the monster what. The man then realized the voice was not coming from the monster, but coming from the monster's blade itself. The blade proposed a deal to the man, he would stop attacking his town if the man were to wield the blade and keep it fed for as long as he had breath. The Man agreed, the monster released the blade and reverted to the form of a withered shadow of a man. The withered man told the man thank you and peacefully passed on. The man, being a man of his word gripped the sword and suddenly from the hilt, blades pierced his hand and fused with his bone. The man realized that the weapon held a powerful spirit that fed on conflict and without it would go into a deep sleep. The blade realized that a wielder that was good and pure that would always defend against where evil might give up it it suit it's interest. The man kept his word and day after day he wandered slaying monster and villain alike never losing and never giving up hope. He fought and fought until time became nothing more than sand running off the palm of his hand. His cursed weapon kept him young , in his prime, the best conditions for a fight. He had been fighting so long he forget even his name. He became a hired sword when there were wars and the peace made him uneasy. He was delighted when he learnt of the League, a place where he could fight indefinitely without worrying about peace or being a murderer to keep his promise, to his cursed claymore"
