Looks really cool,but I doubt we'll get a skin like this,because there are certain problems with it: 1.It would probably cross too much into Ao shins territory.I mean it is entirely possible to give shyvana a "chinese-dragon"-skin,but since ao shin is problematic and might get a changed design too,they'll probably want to get ao shin done before making such a skin for shyvana

2.The skin would most likely be legendary and not 1350,considering that the dragon-form would most certainly require a completely new model(this is more of an issue about your request for a 1350 skin)

3.I guess there could be problems with the readability of this skin.Ususally champs keep their basic shapes regardless of their skins(so Lissandra for example will never walk in a skin and always have this kind of airplane-shape for her head),the chinese dragon though has a wildly different body style than shyvanas dragonform and looks completely different.

I don't have much to comment on you, because it all makes sense except the whole Ao Shin thing. I'm pretty the design is meant to be the same, it's just the direction that the dragon is facing that makes it look different. When I think Chinese Dragons, I think they have long tails, small arms, and no legs. This dragon has hind legs, it resembles Shyvana's previous dragon forms easily. The only other problem I can think of is the tail, because it looks a little funny. Other than that, I don't see how this could resemble Ao Shin in any way.

What I meant with Ao shin was more in the direction,that if they probably want to design him properly,before they do a skin,that uses the same concept.

There are definetly ways to make the skin look different,but it is kinda hard to do that if they aren't sure what Ao shin is going to look like.(something like that supposedly happened with dianas dark-valkyrie-skin and syndra,where they removed part of dianas skin,to make her look less like syndra) If they find the perfect design for a chinese dragon that fits into the game,then they'd use it for ao shin,not for a shyvana skin.

Also I wouldn't say it resembles shyvanas other dragon forms,that much. Shyvanas dragon forms have wings(or similar stuff) on her front-arms,chinese dragons have usually an extremely long neck and overall a serpentine body,which shyvanas dragon form also lacks and chinese dragons are actually very often depicted with hind legs(just google chinese dragons and in most of the cases they will have hind legs,even ao shins original design has them),but said hindlegs are usually rather small,while shyvana has long hindlegs,giving her even the ability to stand on her hind legs.

What do you think of maybe a Lunar Revel Shyvana or Warring Kingdoms? Would be a big palette shift color-wise but may be able to retain some of the design elements in this art and keep with the theme of a Chinese dragon

I ask less about the dragon and more about her non-dragon form. I'd loved to see shyv in something like samurai armor.

Please not a Warring Kingdoms. I only speak for myself, but as someone who is not familiar at all with the source they are a reference to, they are just a really boring skin line in my opinion.

Overall I think the idea itself is quite awesome,but I dunno about how appliceable it is.

I mean her dragon form would need to retain her general shape wouldn't it?

In the end I still think it would be a cool skin though.

While I love how this piece of art is looking (I believe is is by a Chinese artist for a LOL.QQ skin design contest, but I couldn't find their name) there are definitely some things to consider when judging whether it would be a good fit for LoL and specifically Shyvana.

To add to what you've already mentioned, from what I've read the Chinese Dragon is a masculine creatures, balanced by the feminine Phoenix. I can't really see the two designs as being the same champion right now, while if you look at Shyvana's models you can clearly see how she has beast-moded out of her human form into a menacing monster. Also while Gold/yellow is a colour we haven't really used on Shyvana yet, the cool blue is very close to Championship Shyvana.

Thinking about the steam for spell effects is great, but how will Dragon's Descent look without wings? Of course it can be done and I feel Riot Ve1vet is on the right track with a Lunar Revel theme, I just wanted to pose some more questions and encourage you all to really think like a designer >:D

Lets put colors to a pause here since it's an issue at the moment. The Idea of Shyvana having that steam sound effect and visually seeing it is something unique. To answer your wingless dragon question think about how in movies, shows, anime, and cartoons would have that one unique dragon who can fly without wings. Chinese dragons can fly without wings and to put another example, Rayquaza from Pokemon is a dragon who is also wingless and can fly. If I had the skill to draw you my vision I would've done so (but my drawing skills are level 1) but here's a picture of my vision that I luckily found on the internet.

This is a wingless dragon that has the look potential for Shyvana's dragon decent. It's fearsome, perfect length, and fearless.

Now about colors, most of the base colors have already been used up for each Shyvana's skins and when it comes to Dragons you want some dark coloring that shows you that fearsome side. Adding any light colors would only make Shyvana seem girly and un-cool. We're making a Dragon here not a Zyra skin ya know? So what if in this skin we add her armor to be metallic black, mixed with gold trim and having the color yellow within the gold.

And then her skin color it could possibly be her original classic splash art or maybe you can create a different color of skin, honestly you don't have to change her skin color to her original self but it can also be like her other skins, paleish skin color but who knows.

Thanks for taking a crack at it, I think you've got some cool solutions there and I had a blast imagining dragons. Enijoi's 'Festival Dragon Shyvana' looks fully believable as a Lunar Revel Skin, but then my feeling is the colours and design will look too much like the base model once they are far away in-game.

I agree with you that light colours would detract from Shyvana's ferocity and I think a Black and Gold theme would bring some regal majesty to the concept (Darn it Sam Sparro get out of my head). Still not sold on the no-wings concept for Shyvana as it is important for her in-game read, perhaps smoke or fur could be used to maintain her silhouette?

Sometimes we run into walls and set concepts aside, but nothing ever dies around here and occasionally with a fresh pair of eyes or that Eureka! moment a solution is found that lets us really knock it out of the park.

Ah yes, I forgot about the "detail" within the dragon, the reason why I mention a wingless dragon is because even tho Shyvana is a dragon with wings, it would've been unique just how like Darius's legendary is basketball but then it would be silly to make her wingless since Ao Shin is on the works but adding fur would only make her more similar towards Ao Shin, so how would this Dragon physically look like? we got the colors down and the steam even tho you don't seem 100% satisfied with the colors lol but when it comes to wings this is what I bumped into and edited into a yellowish color.

Do you see the yellow wings have a goldish striping line within? That's what I was talking about when it comes to gold within yellow or the other way around haha. Of course this dragon would be armored and it would just look extra epic.

what if you customize Shyvana'a armor looking black with a gold trim around it? This is where you're imagination begins. Lets picture her armor to have those festival mask around certain parts of her armor to bring out that culture and difference upon her other skins.

Here's a picture that I only used hue/saturation to give you an example, you see how the armor looks blackish now and the colors are yellowish gold? You can have a gold beam color shining out through the eyes of the mask. She will have shining beams that will express out her armor. IF girls like to show off there dress in reality, then im pretty sure girls who would wear armor back in the eras wants to show off how epic they look in it.

if you go for a lunar revel skin for shyvana, i'd say the green tones similar to tryndamere's LR skin would be a good fit as it's a color palette completely unused in any shyvana skin yet

WELL May be after she get a rework and a visual upgrade to match her physical tank melee badass female dragon (her size make no sence and her muscle ... well she got no muscle.) She smaller than elise IT A 50% SPIDER AND SPIDER ARE SMALER THAN DRAGON JUST TO LET YOU KNOW :P
