Champion Concept: Bounty Hunter
Theme: Bounty Hunter (short range) NOTE: THE WORD 'NAME' REPRESENTS THE NAME OF THIS CHAMPION
Passive- (name) Does % more damage for each kill the target has killed without being killed (max high % vs legendary)
EXPLANATION: This is a unique spell, and would be the first to scale off of the new bounty system. When you are very far ahead it is effectively useless, but when there is a rich enemy, there is a chance for you to get rich too. ;)
Q- (Skillshot or Point and Click?) Attaches to an enemy and pulls (name) closer, (but not all the way) deals (?/?/?/?) damage and greatly slows target (%/%) for (time)
EXPLANATION: This is supposed to be like firing a (trip?)wire around their legs. It slows them and their lost momentum pulls (name) sharply toward enemy. I want some incentive to level Q, so I think there should be a slow that increases at half level (3) rather than every level. I say 3 is half because 1 is acquisition, so everything is really only leveled 3 times. (1-2, 2-3, 3-4)
Note on my note, I want the base scaling of w to be better than q so that people pick better slow or more damage (or better survival in e)
W- (auto attack reset similar to leona q) Extra Damage only
EXPLANATION: The only champ that can attack 3 times in a row is a support with 3 stuns. I figure we can add one to a skilled person killer, but without any stuns. I also wanted to give (name) some burst potential.
E- (toggled) has a %/%/%/% chance to dodge basic attacks, but doing so (dodging an attack) distracts (name) and they can not attack or cast a spell for (very short time) (passive) Small Reduced damage from aoe spells
EXPLANATION: The idea here of the toggled is to make it cumbersome to engage in straight battle because (name) shuts himself/herself down offensively every so often. The use would be to get to the back line and/or escape effectively, as bounty hunters do. The idea of the passive is to help them survive the ‘general damage’ of mages trying to zone and get through to their target. What I did not want to create was someone who could tank everything, which is why there is the slight time of no offensive attacks. This creates a new mechanic in the game where you can move, but can not attack or spell cast. I think it should be “Distracted” but that is up to other people.
**R- **Throws down a cloud of special gas that cloaks all allies (and self) within it, and gives them extra damage on their first attack or spell (and also uncloaks them). Deals (small base small scale) damage per second to enemies. Allies and self de-cloak after leaving the cloud, but the damage buff stays for (time) or until used.
EXPLAINATION: A target has many guards. How do you get past those guards? They can’t kill what they can’t see. A surprise attack from your whole team, while choking the airways of your enemies. This is good for secondary initiation, giving your team a huge advantage as two armies are about to clash. Put it too early, and it turns into a mere single attack damage boost. Any Sona can provide that. Put it too late and the enemy assassins get a chance at your throat before you theirs.
This champion is not just going for the backline. He/she is going for the fed. The wealthy. This champion needs to be able to go anywhere in a fight to hunt the richest head. The only CC is a large slow, but (name) can output high levels of single target damage. The only aoe comes from a slight aoe in the ult. And so, the basic goals of a bounty hunter are laid. Can get in and out a little easier than most, and can do large single target damage. Someone has to take down the general of a battle. (name) is equipped to do this.
For lane, I really do not know. I could understand how one would jump to adc, but because of how their E works I think they would be most effective:
- Mid vs Mage, but particularly auto attack buffers like Orianna, Kassadin, Twisted Fate, Fizz… idk
- Top vs Tank Mage, like Rumble, Cho
- Jungle not leveling E (though very weak ganks, and a wasted spell. idk)
- Adc vs Ezreal? Corki?
I feel like (name) has a place, but I do not know enough about the balance of the game to know where that place is. It is for that same reason that I have not included any proposed numbers for the skills.
I will leave art, lore, and sprite design to others more skilled than I.
