What i miss in Teamfight Tactics and some other ideas
i dont play league anymore and i barely watched Teamfight Tactics, but two years ago i was writing and discussing a slow mode for league in which the economical side was to gain gamers with no mechanical skill need and and therfor also having a mode for casual players. Two years later Teamfight Tactics came out with the economical side inbound. I kinda feel i was part of the spark that gave rise to Teamfight Tactics, which is the reason i wanted to share my thoughts about it.
Heres the things that i miss in Teamfight Tactics: Character of the champions, Variety outside of the team formation.
Character of the champions:
One of the things that make the 5v5 ranked, is that each champion is unique with being the only kind of champion since u cant have the same champion twice and a unique development throughout a match with having a unique item choice determined by the player. This character and progression of this character is missing in Teamfight Tactics since u can have the same champion twice and cant buy items properly. Its a major part of league that is missing in Teamfight Tactics.
Variety outside of the team formation:
The only variety there really is that u can place the champions differently. How do we make this game not looking like its always the same, two teams running against each other. I had these ideas: Walls: have in the middle of the map some parts randomly turn into walls so the pathing is different form the map ago. Card Buffs: In the beginning of a fight the player can choose between four hidden cards. Each card gives a minor buff like 7 % attack speed buff for every champion the enemy ones included. or 5 % cd, etc. Alliances: have the player chose an alliance maybe vow to a dragon (cloud, earth, ocean, infernal, elder) and at the end of a match he gets some points he can use to establish the power of his alliance. Basically like in pokemon go with their blue, red and yelllow and like in for honor where the player can pick one alliance to use his points on.
I may have some more ideas but i dont want to put effort into this.![]()
