Another new Inspiration Rune [Rune Concept]

So, I got another idea for a rune which would probably be easier to balance than the last one I posted. So, here it is:

Name: Caring Owner Trait: Inspiration Position: Lesser Slot 2 (Tomorrow) Description: Passive: +8% Pet Max Health, +8% Pet Damage

The idea behind this rune is to be a niche rune for champions like Yorick, Elise, Malzahar, Heimerdinger, Zyra, Illaoi or even Annie and Ivern. Most of the stats these pets have even don't scale at all or scale with something you'd normally build, making a playstyle focussed on them nearly impossible. This also wouldn't be hard to balance since its just pure stats. I'd love to hear your thoughts about this!

It's a niche rune that just adds more dmg... no thanks.

Edit: why not find some other way to make utility out of it?

Caring bond: pets take 5% of the damage their owner takes and owner heals for 1% of damage dealt by pets.

Or

Trained hunters: pets reveal enemy champions they deal damage to for 2 seconds. Damaging a champion revealed this way slows them by 25% for 1 second.

Just... something other than "more damage"

That would just be a balance nightmare because most pets are central to their kit. Heimerdinger His W and E both charge his turrets and are half his damage. Yorick His ghouls are most of his pushing power Illaoi Has to actively avoid her tentacles to not use them Zyra Doesn't have any damage without her plants Malzahar Used to have a good AD build with his voildlings but thats not really a thing anymore because he gives them damage with AP now. Ivern Half of his spells effect daisy (it jumps to targets with his Q and E shield works on her)

I'll give you Elise and Annie though as both of their pets are kinda afterthoughts but most pets are front and center to a champion's kit and if a rune buffed them it would make inspiration mandatory on those champions.

As cool as this is this breaks one of the bigger rules of runes being that the rune's can't be champion specific. (Yes i know things like after shock exist but with how riot is doing reworks and making champions, Champions without some form of hard CC are becoming a dying breed) However i do like the idea but simply the game does not need more damage right now.

While it sounds nice and ideal certain pets don't really have scalling health and can be killed by a few basic attacks or just one in Malzahars case. If it added an extra health threshold bar, so that the pet would be killed in 2 basic attacks instead, then I would be fine with it.

This is the problem with the design philosophy with the bigger offenders in the Runes Reforged (cough Electrocute cough). Because this rune is so obviously tailored to a certain champions kit instead of encouraging a different play style and it just contributes pure stats instead of creating interesting gameplay it fails to create interesting choice. It's the ideal choice for champs that pick it and because of that there is no choice at all. Not picking it is just hampering yourself. It would be easier for Riot to just buff pets instead of having runes like this in the game.

The most interesting rune in the game is probably Kleptomancy because it encourages you to play differently poke more in lane and gives you instant rewards for it. I also like Phase Rush because you can plan all ins around it and on champs like Swain and Aurelion Sol it creates an interesting mind game. I also love Predator minus the AD bonus it gives. Makes you feel like a train on Hecarim / Newnu and Willump like shifting into 5th gear entering lane and completely destroying someone.

Utility > Free Damage. Interesting choice in gameplay mechanics > This Rune is ideal in 95% of matchups so I guess I'll just take it.
