Darak - The Blazing Blight (Dragon champion concept)

So far, we have two dragon champions in the game, one that you need to ult to be one, and one that is already a dragon to begin with, but is just so... boring. So here is my idea of a literal entire dragon champion, but of course the design must be unique instead of slapping a 3d copy of a dragon into the game. The design is a quadrupedal pale grey dragon with it's wings representing skeletal hands, a membrane can appear between the "fingers" of the wings when flying (which will be a part of one of his abilities). It's head is of course draconic, but its skull has multiple holes on the top half of its skull down to near its nose, it also has a glowing orb floating around inside its hollow head. Reading the description, you might think its a skeletal dragon, but no, it still has the outer flesh, muscle, and skin of a dragon. Lore-wise, Darak was once a regular dragon, powered by runes, however, he was struck down by his own mate, falling dead and decaying. He stopped decaying, and woke up to a strange presence, granting him incredible, life-defying power. To complete this, he reached the isles, rested there for years, and finally awoke in his new form, becoming one of the most powerful beings in all of runeterra.

Time to drag-on with the champion idea.... yea?... ok I'll just... yea.

Role: Tank, bruiser Damage: Hybrid Lane: Jungle

Passive: Mark of Blight Darak has up to three marks on the map of certain camps. (similar to kindred) The enemy team can see them, but only one at a time. The mark takes 2 minutes to complete casting, the enemy team cannot see the mark until its finished. Once Darak auto's a marked camp, he devours the entire camp's souls, gaining 30% of his health and mana back, also making him larger every camp's soul he has devoured. The bigger Darak is (by a set of stacks) the more max hp he has (up to a max cap). He cannot one shot dragon, blue buff, red buff, herald, or baron.

Q: Black Breath Darak fires a blast of shadow-fire in a straight direction, exploding on the first enemy champion hit. After it hits an enemy champion, it explodes in a splash effect, damaging other enemies within the blast. The attack can also explode when the skillshot reaches the end of its travel. The explosion range increases as the ability is maxed

W: Dragon's Descent Passive: After being 8 seconds out of combat, Darak takes to the skies, he can only cast any of his other abilities except for his w while flying. While airborn, Darak gains extra movement speed, and if the ability is maxed, he can traverse over any terrain, even walls. When casting his w or preforming an auto attack, it will make him land.

Active: While on ground, Darak will slam one of his claw-like wings down. Enemies caught in the cone range of the attack will take damage and be knocked back. While in the air, Darak will glide down straight forward, dragging enemies caught in the dash to the end of the attack. While dashing, Darak is unstoppable by any forms of cc. As much as he can fly over terrain if the ability is maxed, the dash cannot go through walls.

E: Wave of Dread Darak will breath a stream of black flames from a left to right wave of an attack in a wide cone range. The distance of the flames increases as the ability is maxed. The attack cannot go through walls. The end of the ranges of the attack leaves burning ground, dealing small damage over time to enemies within it.

R: Calamity Darak stands on his hind legs (well, except his flying form because he isn't really standing), as the orb-like light in his head glow bright for 3 seconds of charging up. After the channel, Darak fires a sphere of black fire in a straight direction, the range of the attack can spand across half the map. Once the attack lands at its target location, it creates a massive explosion of black flames, dealing massive damage to enemies caught in the explosion, while knocking them up.

Interactions: AurelionSol : You are a disgrace to us... AurelionSol : My brother, don't think you are as of a god because of your power. Brand : I will show you true fire... Chogath : Let's see how large both of us get... Galio : You wish to "brawl" me? Haven't you seen my wings...? JarvanIV : I only honor you for a reason... keep it that way... Kalista : If I didn't fully die... I would have called upon you. Karthus : Hear my song of death... it's called "trial by fire." Leona : I for one do not praise the sun... I wish to snuff the sunlight out... Shyvana : My daughter... I am glad for your safety... Shyvana : Your mother will die... I will assure it. Yorick : You handle the isles... I will handle runeterra... casting ult: I... am... fury! casting ult: Face the wrath of the dragons...! destroying tower: Another rampage for my list... if I could write it... destroying tower: Agonize over my terror mortals... devouring monster camp souls: They are tools to my work... devouring monster camp souls: Give your strength to me...

I don't really get the thematic aspect of his passive, and as is, it would be kind of awkward, since it ties his jungle sustain to opportunistic captures. If the concept behind the champ is that he absorbs the souls of living creatures to grow stronger, I'd suggest making it so he restores something like 3–12% (based on level) missing health every time he kills a large monster or minion, or scores a takedown on a champion or epic monster, and he gets stacks (say, one for monsters and minions, four for epic monsters and champions), increasing his maximum health every ten or so.

Dragon's Descent is already the name of Shyvana's R. In any case, I'm not sure I understand: does he lock himself out of every ability other than his W when the passive kicks in? I think that would translate really poorly to actual gameplay. Instead, you could have it be like a mix of Kayn and Hecarim's respective E's: upon activating it, he starts building movement speed for 2 seconds or so, after which he can move over wall; reactivating the ability makes him dash, knocking back enemies he hits. (Additionally, it could briefly slow enemies after the knockback, or deal bonus damage if he knocks them into walls, etc.)

So his E is kind of like a wider Akali Q, with the "sweet spot" being a DoT zone instead of a slow? In any case, this should probably be swapped with his W, as most champions have their mobility options on E.

His R seems a lot more fitting for an artillery mage than a bruiser. The way I see it, you could take this one of two ways: if you want him to spew a giant fireball, have it be lower range (like, much lower range) but leave behind a huge AoE damage over time and debuff (slow, resistance shredding, etc.); if you want him to have semi-global map presence, make him fly into the air and land with a huge fiery explosion after a delay (though this mught be too similar to Galio's R).

Hmm good attempt though am not a big fan of skeletal dragons you have good points from D3 so ill just say ~~ lose the dash on his w and make it an aoe on recast.~~ After reading over I understand it's a dash with landing that pulls units with it (nice take here fresh concept).m The q can stay but you might want to add a slow here or make it like velcozVelkoz r. And the E should have a debuff like armor and magic shread ( let it go through walks so it has carry effect like nami Nami wave so it will carry and slam them into walks for extra damage and a stun (if you want).

Just so u kno bones and skeletons are taboo in china, but if u stylize him kinda like Karthus Karthus u could make his appearance work.

Passive: does his passive select jg camps randomly like Kindred, or does he choose which ones to target like Ivern? Why can the enemy team see only one at a time? And why can they not see the mark until its finished? Cause then this guy just walks up to the ones that they can't see and instantly takes the camp, and walks up to the ONE that they can see and takes it JUST as soon as it comes up meaning they nvr saw it. How often does he put marks on camps? Why not make him have to fight the camp to absorb it? No other champ can walk around the map using camps as healing sources.

The Q is just like Shyvana's Dragon E, i would suggest looking for a more unique breath ability.

Not only is W's name just like Shyvana's but the inflight version works just like Shyvana's ult too. I do like the ground version tho. At first i read it like he slams both wings down to his sides and i had this idea of a unique AoE that is 2 cones radiating from either side of him. But now I see that its just one cone straight ahead.

I really like ur E and kinda wish u continued with unique flame attacks for ur Q.

Also theres no way he could have been affected by shadow isles magic because Shyvana was born near Demacia and thats on the other side of Valoran plus an ocean. Why can't he be his own dragon with his own story? Perhaps he could have heard of Shyvana's father's wails of regret from beyond the veil...but her father himself doesn't make sense.

Also Shyvana's mother is already dead. Shyvana and J4 killed her
