PROJECT: Skins possibilities

Not quite sure if this is exactly the place to put this, and do take this with a grain of salt. I'm certain it'll get downvoted, which I'm ready to accept in the general climate of PROJECT: -based stupidity, but I do have some theories involving what a Rioter teased could be even more "bad guys" for the PROJECT: skins. Obviously, nothing's set in stone about the skins and whether or not there'll be more, but that's where the fun of thinking up possibilities comes into play. So, first off, let's look at what we know about the current six PROJECT: skins.

1. Each Champion with a PROJECT: Skin has some method of gap-closing/dash ability. Yasuo's Sweeping Blade, Zed's Living Shadow, Master Yi's Alpha Strike, Fiora's Lunge, Lucian's Relentless Pursuit, and Leona's Zenith Blade. Taking this into account, it's very likely that, if there will be more PROJECT: Skins, they'll belong to other Champions with a dash/gap closer. 2. We are not sure EXACTLY who is on whose side. Although, from what we can gather, Lucian, Fiora, and Master Yi are on the "good" side, while Zed is clearly a malign force. Yasuo and Leona are insofar "rogue elements", Yasuo moreso than Leona. Given the lore backgrounds of each of the champions, we know this; Leona is good, since she uses her Solari powers for protective uses, Fiora is more or less neutral-good, in that she fights only for the challenge, but has Demacian heritage. Lucian is good, in that he seeks to purify the world of the taint of the Shadow Isles - although his conviction borders zeal. Master Yi is good; he seeks to hone his skills and pass on the legacy of Wuju. Meanwhile, Zed's lore specifically paints him as a villain, having killed Shen's father in cold blood and mastered forbidden arts. Yasuo, on the other hand, is wanted and considered evil by his own people, but is actually good. It cannot be directly said yet whose side Yasuo is on, though. This all being said, it's possible that there are four more villains coming up (hypothetically), or three villains and one extra hero.

While those are the only two points I have available right off-hand, it still gives me enough information to think up quite a few Champions that could hypothetically receive PROJECT: skins on those lines of thought. Which, is a list I will provide; (Note; those Italicized are Champions who I believe are more suited to receive a PROJECT: Skin than others; my ideas are at personal discretion and do not reflect the ideas of Riot, and they may very well pick Champions further down the line if they continue the series that I found would not have fit.)

Good Champions: Xin Zhao, Shauna Vayne, Shen, Quinn, Pantheon, Jax, Irelia, Ahri. Neutral Champions: Ekko, Malcolm Graves, Kalista, Kassadin, Riven*, Sejuani, Tryndamere, Vi*. Evil Champions: Talon, LeBlanc, Katarina du Couteau, Diana, Aatrox.

*I classify Riven and Vi as neutral in that Riven is a self-imposed exile of Noxus, and Vi has a tendency to ignore the laws of Piltover and accidentally cause collateral damage while on a case. Also, Sejuani is struck through because bears may not fit well with PROJECT. But, again, Riot may do it, and they may very well pull it off.

I believe Kassadin definitely deserves a PROJECT skin to be honest. He is just that kind of champion

Idea...Shyvana...HEAR ME OUT!

So there I was in class and I day dreamed alittle bit...and I thought of a PROJECT Shyvana. She had the face of PROJECT Yi/Dj Sona. With two horns on it. She had a white, black and semi orange palette on her body. The leg and uppper area was mostly white with a taint of black lines, while the stomach area was completely grey-ish black with some even darker black lines visible. She had some shoes like Zero Suit Samus in Super Smash Bros for Wii U. And she had some yellow stripes, representing a flow of energy, especially around the horns, which are mostly black btw but the helmet part was white. Her back was black with some orange lines and a triangle glowing on her back. Her gloves where white with some thicker energy lines on them, but don't compare how thick the energy lines are on her horns. I haven't imagined a Dragon form yet, but I still think it can somehow work.

I did just have a thought that would justify Shyvana's transformation - rather than simply switch over to becoming a dragon, her body could digitalize and shape into the dragon form as it flies forward. Your visual concept sounds pretty good, too!

I honestly was hoping for PROJECT: Ekko. even the name sounds good. and with his effects, and the dash/blink ability he has. it coulda been a good fit.

I was thinking the same thing as well, it almost seems weird why they didn't make a PROJECT skin for Ekko, especially when he doesn't have very many skins at the moment.

That is true, but I made a personal note to keep transforming champions or champions with animal companions/animalistic traits (Nidalee, Shyvana, Elise, Sejuani (albeit I only struck her name out), while there are others I missed over for a fact as simple as "they're a yordle". Looking at you, Tristana.

#Sci-Fi Skin Lines?

the Good:

  • Steel Legion skins.
  • Full Metal skins?

the Bad:

  • Battle Cast skins.
  • Eternum skins.
  • Mechan skins?

the Neutral:

  • Project skins.
  • Hextech skins?
  • Bioforge skins?

The Steel Legion Skins seem to be the Crownguards turned into-hyper futuristic soldiers, using storm technology to enact justice, making them good. Full Metal Skins (although it's really difficult to point to it as a skin line rather than three coincidental skins) would be considered good or neutral depending on which champion. In Rammus and Pantheon's case, neutral, but in Jayce's case, good. The Battlecast skins are without a doubt evil. Eternum is also notably evil, considering Nocturne's nihilistic massacre-oriented quotes. Mecha skins are debatable whether they're bad or good - they didn't really have any notable tie-ins beyond just being huge robots up until Aatrox and Malphite, in which they were shown being manufactured by (what appears to be) Yordles. PROJECT: Is also debatable, but it should be held in the neutral category due to the rogue element that is Zed. Bioforge only has one champion so far, who is remarkably evil, so until further Bioforge skins are made, I'll personally place that as evil. As for Hextech, it's more or less what would be present in the current timeline, due to Piltovian brilliance. In fact, it may even be a precursor to Piltover, since most of the champions seem to show steampunk influences and could have formed the basis for Piltover's progress. So I'd count Hextech as good, personally.

Huh. I'd forgotten about Augmented Singed...Maybe he could be the Creator Viktor to the Bioforge skins? Shares the look, but not the name.

Full Metal skins are so underwhelming! I hope they get extensive new palette, distinctive visuals and possibly a rename. don't think Full Metal has distinction or anything outstanding. I would argue for Full Metal Rammus to be reassembled into the Mecha skin lines.

Creator Viktor & Project: Project skins may have Viktor as their Creator as Battlecast do. There's no doubt he's all about that augmentation theme and I'm sure the community will readily-accept Creator Viktor hosting the Project skin line. In Project skin's alternate reality, their background may be the arcane crystal shattered by Jayce was salvageable following the research & development of the Project skins. I do prefer multiple parties hosting the Project skins instead of just one.

'Inventor' Jayce & Full Metal: Jayce's background is about chivalry and morality in a world of advancement. What's outstanding is the rare arcane crystal. If Full Metal skins do get an upgrade I propose them to be a comparable to other techmatugic skin themes highlighting the use of Gems - that rare arcane crystal. This can be their thematic distinction and we can easily expect a Full Metal Taric.

#Sci-Fi Skin Themes?

  1. Steel Legion may be 'storm tech'.
  2. Full Metal could use gems and crystals.
  3. Battle Cast may be ... ?
  4. Eternum may be 'spirit tech'?
  5. Hextech may be runic inscriptions.
  6. **Mecha **may simply be clockwork and combustion.
  7. Bioforge/Augmented may be computerized pharmaceuticals.
  1. and Project may be indiscriminate and multiple of everything.

Any reason you excluded Thresh? He has a gap closer in the second half of his Q and visually his lantern and ult would look good (my opionion)

So far, all of the PROJECT: Skins have been given to wholly human champions. Thresh also has a slight trouble spot with his head, although his head could be "fixed" by having a disconnected hovering helm and a solid piece inside his collar to serve as a "tether". I will admit, there are some champions I've not written into the possibility that would fit well, and Thresh is certainly one of them.
