Nameless Shadow Isles Greataxe Champion
Title for character for later reference will be Shadow Savage just so I don't have to refer to him as "him" all the time.
Inspiration: I've always liked the big weapon wielders and found them to be very cool visually and so thought I'd come up with one of my own. My concept for this character is a person who throws their weapon and fights without it for a little bit before picking it up or it coming back to them. As some of the Shadow Isles denizens are fallen warriors who become "reborn" in the Shadow Isles I thought some kind of Freljordian reborn would be a cool concept. Most Denizens come from Noxus, the Isles themself pre-Ruination or in the case of Mordekaiser, from Eastern Valoran before Noxus and Demacia existed. He could be kind of a stance changer but his double abilities would share cooldowns.
Aesthetic: I thought a shirtless bloodthirsty warrior wrapped in the pale blue-green glow typical with denizens of the Shadow Isles would be a nice visual. He would wield a greataxe or halberd with a big axe-head that would also be infused with that glow and bonded to him. He would have a wild mane of glowing hair and a beard of same quality. He named his weapon affectionately and sometimes talks to it (a trait that was actually from his previous life before the Shadow Isles).
Abilities: (Passive) When not wielding his weapon he uses his fists and gains bonus attack speed at cost of damage. "Unarmed? I've got two of them right here!"
(Q) Target Area & Extendable Skillshot: He would throw his weapon forward stopping at first terrain, champion hit or when it hits the target area. Dealing no damage while flying but only when it lands and in a target area. The weapon will remain there for 10 seconds (proccing passive) where it will pick itself out of the ground and fly back to the Shadow Savage dealing decreased damage to enemies on the way back. Will also return early if picked up physically. This would function as his stance change ability. Cooldown begins after Shadow Savage begins wielding his weapon again, reduced if picked up early.
(W) 2 abilities in one that share cooldown. 1st Multiple Attack Modifier: If Shadow Savage does have his weapon his next 3 attacks attack faster. 2nd Movement ability and next attack modifier: If Shadow Savage does not have his weapon in hand he flies to his weapon with slightly more range than Q. He will pick up the weapon on arrival and his first attack will do increased damage and cleave.
(E) 2 abilities that share one cooldown. 1st Cone Attack and Debuff: If Shadow Savage is wielding his weapon he swings it in an arc in front of him slowing all enemies hit. 2nd Debuff: Shadow Savage (unarmed) marks an enemy for death and if struck 5 times before the mark ends deals %health damage on 5th hit.
(R) Some Ideas: 1st AOE CC: Shadow Savage unleashes his weapon at the target area either spinning and drawing enemies inwards or staying in place and having shadows pull enemies inward (Unlike Orianna ult this wouldn't count as a knockup/stun nor would they lose control of their champion, they'd have to run out as it tries to pull them inward) dealing damage to all inside. This ability also triggers at current position if Shadow Savage is not currently wielding it and extends the weapons reset duration til after the ultimate is over. 2nd Attack Modifier: Shadow Savage takes his weapon inside of him (dealing damage on way if it has to return to him first) gaining %health on hit effects and triggering his passive he also slows enemies hit. Lasts 6/7/8 seconds. 3rd Idea: Combine the two so Shadow Savage has 2 different ults depending on whether or not he is wielding it. If he throws his weapon out and activates it it will activate first one at the current location of the weapon. If Shadow Savage has his weapon he activates the 2nd one (besides the damage while traveling obviously).
I really think it'd be cool for a stance changer to not have his ult be his stance changer and to have 2 different ults instead of 3 basics with a stance changer. It'd be completely new for Riot to do and honestly would be really excited if they implemented one. Shadow Savage would use his Q to stance change (with only 1 Q ability) and have 2 abilities for everything else. He would be like Gnar with a limited duration stance change except he would be in more control over when he changes.
