Eon was part of a great and powerful tribe, hidden safely away from the eyes of the world. But, within the break of dusk, his village was attacked by vicious, deformed, beings. The battle was gruesome, testing the strength of his men with each passing hour, Eon unmatched by any who took a chance against him. Bloody bodies were strewn about the village, and the stench of decay began to set in. The sun sunk below the horizon causing a fog to begin to creep from the tree line. Within the fog approached a figure of great stature, a glowing green lantern in one hand, a hooked blade latched to a chain in the other. Eon had never seen a creature such as this. As the warriors fought they fell quickly to the scythe like blade that he lashed out with. Eon watched in horror as his brothers fell before him, their dying screams burned into his memory. The being revealed himself as Thresh, laughing to himself with each soul he harvested from Eon’s men. He now stood alone against Thresh, his village destroyed, his people dead, how could he fell such a being as this? Eon stepped forward, unafraid, and attacked him, the twisted creatures long since vanished at Thresh’s presence. The moon set midsky before Eon fell to his knees, wounds and pure exhaustion getting the best of him. Thresh stood over him, Eon could feel the lantern pulling at his soul. He rested the scythe blade on Eon’s shoulder, it’s touch cold as death. He pushed aside Thresh’s blade and weakly stood, “My soul will never belong to you. I will kill you, and I will free the souls of my people.” Seemingly amused, Thresh lowered his blade, Eon rushed him with what strength he had left. Thresh’s blade cut through him, through his soul, with one fell swing. Eon prayed to his gods, begged them, he waited for death to embrace him. The reaper raised his blade, flashes of blinding light shot through the darkness towards him. Thresh vanished, the light following him into the shadowed treeline, leaving Eon alone to die. As his body slowly died, his soul, burning with such purpose, remained. Eon’s soul wandered in search of Thresh, powered by a darkening promise. Eon wanted revenge, wanted justice, wanted to free the souls. His soul took shape of a massive black wolf, his great stature and burning eyes enough to strike fear into the bravest of beings. Eon found Thresh, and so enveloped in his seething fury, he attacked him. Thresh easily kept him at bay, but he couldn’t keep it up forever. The wolf seemed to control the very shadows they stood in. Eon vanished into the darkness, attacking from every angle, but Thresh caught him. With what strength Thresh had left, he bound Eon’s soul to a being strong enough to contain his fury, branding him forever with a vibrant green mark. Ryder’s soul instantly burned away, his mind, his will, torn to shreds by an animalistic fury. Thresh fled, wounded, but that would not keep him safe. Eon hunted him down, following the trail of soulless bodies left in his wake. He vowed to free the soul’s Thresh had taken, to free himself from the Warden’s curse, and to finally reunite with his people in the beyond.

description: -Ryder wears a long trench coat. The coat stops mid shin, split back separates bottom pieces for easy movement, sleeveless. Silver and red accents, coat is a dark grey/almost black colour. -Wears a wolf skull as a mask, wears a red cowl under. Black fur hangs past his shoulders when worn.(rarely takes it off) -Sun bleached bone carved guards protect his lower legs and chest. -Boots are simple black leather, steel covered toe and heel. Stop just below his knees. -Pants are a dark red fabric, loose fit. -Clawed gauntlets are worn on both hands, continue up to mid forearm. Black leather, held on with buckled straps.
