[Champion Suggestion] Preston: The Manic Mechanic [Completely redone! New abilities and lore!]

Hey guys, GrimFreak again. I have another champion suggestion for you. I know, I know, some of you are probably thinking that I already posted this about half a year ago. Well, I looked over this champion and felt that he was lacking. I have completely redone just about everything, especially his abilities. I hope he is much more interesting now and worthy of your consideration. He still has a rivalry with Viktor because I feel that would make for some interesting background with his purpose in the league.

Again, feel free to review/comment, any and all constructive criticisms are welcomed and accepted, (I will not get mad!).

Preston- The Manic Mechanic

Lore- Preston Technoculus was born in the industrious city-state of Zaun, The scientific capitol of Runeterra. Since a young age young Preston had always shown extraordinary potential with mechanics and hextech technologies, excelling above all others his age. He would spend hours working on all manner of contraptions, ideas, and theories, often times closing himself off from the rest of the normal world. People always spoke highly of him and predicted that he would go far in life. “So young and so brilliant” they would say This attention sort of got to Preston and swelled his ego a bit as he grew older. He didn’t feel that there was a mind in all of Runeterra that could prove his equal… Until he met Viktor. Who was this man that he could steal the spotlight away from Preston? Why was he so idolized? What right did he have to come to the prestigious College of Techmaturgy and meddle with Preston's brilliance. To make matters worse, Viktor was indeed brilliant, although Preston refused to accept that Viktor may be his better. Preston's research fell into disrepair and, as Viktor rose to glory in the college, he began to fall further and further into obsession as the people who once praised him refused to acknowledge him. Finally, he lost it and, after a mental breakdown in his lab and an almost comical failed attempt to kill Viktor, Preston was kicked out of the College. He was sent home, a shadow of his former prodigy, quickly forgotten. It wasn't until many months later that he would emerge from his dwelling, crazed and unkempt, with the appearance of a man who hadn't eaten or slept in days. His hair was long and messy, his face and clothes dirty and covered in grease, oil and other grime. With him he brought forth his most ingenious invention, the power gauntlet, a large metallic glove he wore on his right arm. The device was capable of drawing power from the air and could generate massive amounts of energy in short periods of time. He demanded to know where Viktor was, practically threatening the people gathered around him with bolts of powerful energy. They told him Viktor had been gone for some time, left for the League. Preston seemed confused, as if he didn't understand just how long he had been locked away in his home. He decided to head for the league, seeing it as his best opportunity to reassert his brilliance, and of course provide him with the best opportunity to kill Viktor.

Appearance: Preston Technoculus is roughly 5 feet and 8 inches tall. He is not very physically built and his time in isolation didn’t help with this. He wears a black long sleeved shirt, with grey pants that have various pockets. These pants would have gadgets and gizmos lining the pockets. Wear's a harness with wires leading to his power glove and also has various other gizmos strapped to it. Wear’s goggles but wears them above his eyes. His hair is messy and crazy and his face is covered in dirt and grease. Wear’s black boots and gray working gloves. Where's a large mechanical glove on his right arm that he uses as his primary weapon.

Classification- Mage/Support

Attack damage: 2

Defense: 4

Ability power: 8

Speed: Moderate

Difficulty: Moderate

Strengths: Has a variety of gizmos and gadgets to help him escape and keep him in the fight longer Great with team fights decent with 1v1 combat Good at harassing enemy champions. His ultimate is useful at dealing high amounts of damage and possibly regaining control of an otherwise losing situation

Weaknesses: squishy if enemies get too close Relies on his abilities, mana/cool down reduction is essential vulnerable to ganking, although a good player should be able to use his w and e abilities to make a clean escape

Abilities:

Passive: Obsessive Ambition- Whenever Preston is outnumbered by enemy champions in combat, (1v2, 2v3, 3v4, 4v5), his base stats inscrease by a small percentage and his cooldown is reduced slightly. This stat increase is smaller for every ally fighting along side him, non existent if equally numbered. If Preston has items to boost his stats and/or lower cooldown, his stats will not exceed the maximum.

I don't know if I explained his passive well enough. If there are any questions about it I will try to go into better detail.

Basic attack: Preston shoots energy bolts at enemies from his power glove

Q: Arc Blast- Preston charges up power in his glove, then releases a powerful blast at target enemy. Random enemy close to target enemy will have the arc bounce onto them, dealing half as much damage as the primary blast. Up to 2 charges. Random arc will favor enemy champions. Haven't decided if this should be a targe ability or a skill shot

W: Healing drone- Preston throws down a small drone that emits a healing field, healing Preston over time and healing allied champions for half as much. The drone may be destroyed by enemy champions. Upgrading this ability increases healing effects and increases the drone's damage resistance.

E: Security Barrier- Preston throws down a gadget that produces an electrical barrier. This barrier deals mild damage and has a slight chance to stun enemy champions and minions. If Preston runs through this barrier he obtains increased movement speed for a short time. Upgrading this ability increases the length of the wall and improves stun chance.

R: TRUE BRILLIANCE!!!- Preston overcharges his power glove for a couple seconds and then launches a powerful bolt of energy straight into the air. This bolt will land on target location within range, dealing massive damage at the center of the blast and gradually less the further away. This ability has the potential to stun enemy champions.

Attacking (Specific to Heimerdinger): “Pfft, nice hair” “You call these innovations!?” “I’m the real scientist!” “HA! PRIMITIVE!!!"

Dying: “NO! Not without Viktor!” "Not like this...” “My only regret… Is that Viktor lives…” "Kill Viktor for me..."

Sorry guys, I have been really busy lately and do not have a character picture yet. I will update this post soon and include a character design, as well as designs for his power glove and other gizmos.
