[Champion Suggestion] Clickety Clank: The mechanical Bounty Hunter
Here is another Champion idea by yours truly. I would have had it up sooner but got busy with stuff, plus I got stuck on designing his abilities. Anyways, as always, any feedback is welcomed and appreciated.
Clickety Clank- The Cyborg Bounty Hunter
Lore- There are few east of Noxus who haven’t heard of the notorious Ryley Swent. Working loosely with the Noxian government, this bounty hunter collects all the high targets, doing their dirty through methods questionable even to the Noxians. They don’t ask, they chose not to care, as long as Ryley keeps delivering targets alive, with as few bullet holes as possible. While he mostly runs down criminals wanted by the Noxians, Ryley is especially known for his numerous successful captures of Dalmacian military and political figures. Despite these offenses to the Dalmacians, there is no real proof that Ryley takes them to Noxus, and all efforts to catch the man for questioning and subsequent imprisonment had proved fruitless. That is, until Ryley bit off more than he could chew, and attempted to bring in someone that didn’t feel like tagging along. It was the job of a lifetime, too good to pass up. The Noxians were offering him a fortune to capture one of the greatest figures of Dalmacia, Jarvan Lightshield IV. Ryley knew the man was of no small reputation and that he had evaded the hand of Noxus to the point that it seemed humiliating. The mere fact that the Noxus high command would ask him to do such a job meant that they either thought a little too highly of him, or they had exhausted all other plausible options. Ryley figured it was the second. Still, it was a lot of money, enough to retire on and move someplace exotic. He suited up, grabbing every weapon and useful gadget he could think to bring, and set off to capture his prey. He crept through the streets of Dalmacia, sticking to the shadows, taking time to study what he was up against. Jarvan didn't look too tough and Ryley kind of wondered why this man was considered such a threat. Still, a job was a job, and he did well not to question. He followed Jarvan to his home one night and snuck into an upstairs window. Surprisingly, Jarvan was standing in the room, with his back to Ryley. He couldn’t believe his luck. It was simply too easy, he thought, as he began pulling himself quietly through the window. He paused… It WAS too easy… IT WAS A SET UP! Panicking, Ryley tried to scramble back out the window, but the entire house was surrounded by Dalmacian troops. He turned back around and saw Jarvan facing him, a satisfied smirk on his face, several guards flanking him. Ryley knew the money had been too good to be true. The Noxian rats had sold him out! He wouldn’t go down without a fight though. He reached for his twin pistols. “I really wouldn’t” Said Jarvan, pointing his spear at him Quick as a flash Ryley drew his pistols almost before Jarvan had stopped talking and lit up the room in a fury of bullets. Jarvan’s guards fell like lead weights, riddled with precision shots. Ryley dashed out of the room, shooting anyone who got in his way. He jumped out of one of the second story windows and hit the ground running. He was out of bullets and threw his pistols on the ground. He drew his sword and kept running, hacking down those stupid enough to get between him and his escape. He almost thought he could get away, when he felt a series of sharp pains stabbing into his back. He looked down and noticed the arrow tips protruding from his chest. Barely breathing, coughing up blood, he turned to see his killer. A woman, and a hawk. She carried a crossbow in her hands, currently aiming at Ryley’s already riddled chest. He raised his sword, as if to take one last swing, and she shot him again. He fell to the ground, quickly fading, the last thing he said before blackness enveloped him was “I will find you.” Then the notorious Ryley Swent was dead… Or so it was thought. Truth was, Noxus hadn’t sold him out, spies within the ranks however had leaked the information back to Dalmacia. A trap had been all too easy to set up for poor Ryley. When Noxus found that Ryley was dead, The Noxian high command sent for the body. They brought it to Zaun, and breathed the gift of life back into Ryley as had been done for Urgot. This time however, they did not merely animate him. Inspired by Viktor’s physical augmentations to himself, Professor Stanwick decided to Cut away the man that was and replace him with a higher functioning, more efficient machine. The end result was barely a man at all. Most of his body parts were replaced by mechanics, except for a few internal organs and his brain. The new Ryley was faster, stronger, and more efficient in every way to his former counterpart. Strangely enough, Ryley was not phased even in the slightest by his appearance and what had been done to him. In fact, he seemed to enjoy it, relishing in his new strength and his second go at life. He even took to calling himself Clickety Clank, in reference to his various clicking and clanking motions. When he was finally fully recovered and adapted to his new form he set off immediately in search for the woman who had killed him, intent on settling the score. Hearing about the formation of the League of Legends, he figured that would be a good place to start looking.
“Let’s see that crossbow shoot through this” -Clickety Clank
Appearance- Clickety clank is humanoid in shape, standing at 6 feet and 1 inch tall. Body is entirely mechanical on the outside, not a shred of the man who once was is visible. Silverish colored skin, with circular eyes that almost resemble headlights. Sharp teeth, a personal request. No nose, no ears, simply a basic robotic form. Wear’s short of a cowboy outfit. Dirty brown pants, with a tan shirt, a brown trench coat, cowboy boots, as well as a big cowboy hat.
Classification: Marksman/fighter (I'm not sure if this would classify as fighter or assassin)
Attack power: 8 Defense: 5 Ability power: 2 Speed: Moderate Difficulty: Not sure, probably low
Strengths: switches between melee and ranged attacks decently fast, with abilities that can help him get away from difficult situations Most of his abilities have low mana cost Specializes in 1v1 fighting/execution
Weaknesses: Vulnerable to magic damage Deals entirely physical damage, champions resistant to physical damage could have an advantage Very few of his abilities target more than one opponent
Abilities:
Passive: Versatile- Clickety Clank is equally skilled in ranged and melee combat. His basic attack reflects this. When he is close to his target he will slash them with his sword, for increased damage. If his target is further away he will shoot them with his pistols, for increased range. I feel this ability would be really cool for combat. Clickety Clank slashing at an opponent, in epic 1v1 fashion, only to finish them off with his pistols as they try to flee.
Basic Attack: Depends on target proximity
Q: Quick draw- Clickety Clank draws both his pistols and deals a double shot to target opponent for physical damage equal to double his basic ranged attack.
W: Skilled fighter- Passive- Clickety Clank gains increased critical strike chance Active- Clickety Clank throws a flash grenade that explodes over target area, stunning all enemies within the target circle.
E: Ruthless steel- Clickety Clank strikes target opponent with a series of vicious slashes from his sword, dealing moderate physical damage. This ability does bonus damage if the target is stunned.
R: Flawless Execution- Clickety Clank dashes to target opponent, ignoring all obstacles. When he reaches target opponent he slashes upward with his sword, dealing mild physical damage and knocking them behind them. Clickety Clank then rapid fires both pistols, emptying his guns into his opponent while they are airborne, dealing additional moderate damage. Target is not stunned after landing.
