Runeterra MMO RPG ideas and how it could look like.

I am or was passionate wow player, I stopped playing wow because it is becoming a game which is only focused on very very casual and very very high end players (LEGION was great TBH, SURAMAR <3).
I started working on project called WoW 2 in 2015 when I was starting high school. I have even created a presentation which I wanted to send to Blizzard, lol. In my senior year I realized that this project wouldn’t be possible because of certain company which I will not name… So, I’ve focused on other stuff. Recently I was diving deep into the Runeterra lore thanks to Necrit which is from same country as me <3 if I am not mistaken. Anyways all of the lore had me wondering if there is going to be MMO in the future and tweet from Trynda got me hyped up but in the end I found out that there will be no MMO. I know that MMOs are money-sinks and most of them are flop, because of their combat systems, lags or they are pay to win or just have bad graphics (and yes, I think clean graphic plays big part in game).
Even tho Riot isnt working on MMO I have created some ideas on how it could look like. I took ideas I had in my project and transefered it into Runeterra MMO in this past week (I also used some inspiration from GFXbySage tweet). Hope you enjoy! 😊
HOW SHOULD WORLD LOOK LIKE?

I want to see all cities just like they are in the pictures (just little bit scale down). I don’t want them to be to be waiting lobbies where you wait for group or sit on auction house. I want there to be more life to them. Think of them like zones with content but little more crowded. Guards would be patrolling and catching criminals. Criminals would be stealing from merchants. Merchants would be selling stuff in marketplace or roam through city. People would sweep the floor. And you could be doing everything they are doing. All supported by quests and gold.
I know world like this could take a long time so I suggest first expansion to be just Noxus vs. Demacia and maybe Freljord, it would be cool to see Demacia civil war and take part in it. Other expansion would add Zaun, Piltover and Ixtal. 3rd expansion Shurima and Targon. 4th Ioania, Bilgewater with underwater content. And 5th would add Shadow isles and other islands and maybe by the time 5th expansion comes we will be introduced to world above Freljord.

Combat is tricky because everyone prefers something else. So I have created “skillshot” combat where you hit target with auto attack almost everytime as long as you aim your crosshair near target and your target doesn’t move faster than your projectile (occurs only in pvp, good for making plays)
I have 2 examples of combat UI. First is basic 1 2 3 4 clicking system. Where you have filler ability and automatic auto attack. And second is little different where every weapon has different empowered attack with CD (or without CD but has channel) and you use them with mouse.
_(Edit) _ So casters will have crosshair (seen in pictures) and most of their spells will have 4 rules: First: If they are not moving and are aiming on target their spell will folow target until hit. (doesn't apply to every spell) Second: If they are moving their spell will fly in direct line and disapear after spell reaches full range (doesn't apply to every spell) Third: If they are running while casting their movement is reduced. (doesn't apply to every spell) Fourth: If they are running while casting their casting is reduced. (doesn't apply to every spell)
Most of the melee classes will have chaining combo system, where you can combo most abilities for maximum pay off (simular to Berserker in BDO). Also their crosshair will be different.
On marksmans I am working but I want them to feel like shooting games but with more spells and combos if possible. (End of the edit)
Both of these combats will hide your mouse cursor and you can move your camera normally with mouse without holding right mouse button. You can unlock your mouse cursor with ALT, I call this “healer mode”.
In healer mode you can use your mouse freely. This mechanic can be used even for some offensive spells, but you can still hit those spells with crosshair (as long as you have target). You can even hit heals with crosshair.

In League of Legends there is so much champions and every champion is completely different from one another, so I couldn’t create any specific classes that would represent most of the champions. In the end I have settled on sandbox mechanic that I call “Interest”. Interest is basically your class, what you want to be. When you create a character, you choose your two interest classes. For example, if you want to be a battlemage you would choose Mage as your main interest and as secondary interest you would choose fighter. Or if you want to be someone like Yasuo you would choose main interest Slayer and secondary Mage.
Interest will also give you bonus stats:
Primary interest: Slayer - AD from Dexterity Mage - AP from Intellect Fighter - AD from Strength Marksman - ranged AD from Dexterity Enchanter - healing AP from Intellect Tank - increases your Armor by 100% and Vitality by 45%
Secondary interest: Slayer - bonus rapidness from primary stat Mage - bonus AP from primary stat Fighter - bonus AD from primary stat Marksman - bonus ranged AD from primary stat Enchanter - bonus healing AP from primary stat Tank - bonus stamina from primary stat
Crafter - pure interest that cant be combined with other ones, gives you bonus slots in bank and bonuses from proffesion talents
Tank is hard to balance in PvP.

Primary stats: Armor Vitality - HP, stamina Strength - 2xAD, stamina, AD crit Dexterity - 2xRANGED AD, 1xAP and melee AD, stamina regen, rapidness, faster running while casting Intellect - 2xAP, Mana, stamina cost, spell crit, faster casting while running
Secondary stats: Attack Damage Ability Power Critical strike - % chance to do critical Rapidness - attack/spell speed, movement speed, sometimes CD reduction (maybe animation speed) Magic resist - only for specific class of magic Mana regen Health regen Multistrike - only available in talents and not on gear
Rare stats: Critical DMG Magic Penetration Armor Penetration Lifesteal Tenacity
Stamina says how much you can parry or block with your weapon or shield. Maybe even dodge.

Talents are another part of your class sandbox.
You will be given spells depending what is your main interest, secondary interest and talent trees.
You will get to choose from 46 talents trees.
You will be given eight talent points on level 10 which you spent above the first row of talents e.g. on picture I have spent 5 on fire tree and other 3 are in gun tree. (gun tree is hidden because its after magic talent trees)
Talent rows are unlocked by how much points you spent in certain talent tree OR talents will do better things by how much you spent in certain talent tree.

Each proffesion will have diffrent max talents points that you can invest in them (from 1-3). I am also thinking about that you can spent 5 points in Engineering, Cultivation Runeweaving or Alchemy if you want to become a class based on proffesion Tinker, Creaturelogist, Inscriber or Apothecary
1: Riding - your mount now doesn't consume it's stamina when sprinting Cultivation - for farming animals and plants Fishing Cooking Woodcutting - for wood
2: Riding - you will not be dismounted after being hit Weaving - making webs, wool and strings into cloth Herbalism - harvesting plants Butchery - meat and skin from animals Minning Archeology - weapons, items, greater chance to find artifacts when traveling
3: Riding - you can deal dmg with your mount Engineering Carpentry - bows, housing, arrows, ships Smithing - mail, plate Leatherworking Tailoring Alchemy Jewel Crafting Enchanting (Runeweaving) - includes inscription
These are only examples of course.
CHARACTER CREATION
I would love to see advanced character creation. How you look like is a big part of character identity.
You can also choose your experience which will give you some bonus stuff when you create your character, even gold. But gold will be generated randomly. So you can be either lucky and get 500g or be unlucky and get 1g.

Edit: Best would be only humans (with great customization), Vastayan and other races could be added in later versions of the game.
Monetizing
Monthly 5-15 USD and it would be free to play to 30 or game pass. In - game shop where you would buy cosmetic things like Caitlyn's hat, Zac hat, Zed hat for about 5-20 USD.
E-sports
Battleground (they would be called something else) Solo challenge raids with leaderboards Arenas Raid world first clears

for example. exremely popular champion who in lore means nothing, no faction as a whole cares about him, no faction leader cares about him, 95% - 99% of other champions dont even know he exists. And thats just a tip of an iceberg.
