Quick Lore

Kira was one of the Angel Captains on the side of Kayle during the conflict between Angels in ancient times. During a battle she was captured and imprisoned by Morgana's forces. Through the thousands of years of her imprisonment her bounds slowly weakened, until she was able to free herself. Now she fights one more to perish all evil from Runeterra.

Appearance

Kira is tall and slender, with long red hair. She has 2 long feathery wings protruding from her back. She wears a bulky silver armor and yields a silver sword almost as tall as her and a big silver shield.

Abilities

Passive: Divine Blood Kira has bonuses depending on her current HP. 100-90% HP: While not damaged for 5 seconds, she generates a shield over 5 seconds for 10% of her max HP. 90-60% HP: She has 7.5% damage reduction and her basic attacks deal an additional of 1% of her max HP as magic damage and heal her for that amount. 60-30% HP: She has 15% damage reduction and her basic attacks deal an additional of 4% of her missing HP as magic damage and heal her for half that amount. 30-0% HP: She has 30% damage reduction and 10% of the damage enemy champions take around her is converted into a shield. When she is out of combat for 4 seconds, she heals for the amount of the remaining shield over 3 seconds.

Q: Smite Kira hits the ground in front of her with her sword, causing the earth to rapture as a stream of light travels in a straight line. Enemies hit take magic damage and are slowed for 1 second. Damage: 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 40% AP) Slow: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 % CD: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds

W: Holy Wind Kira claps her wings and blasts in a big cone in front of her. Enemies struck take magic damage, get slightly knocked back and are grounded for 0.5 seconds. Damage: 65 / 105 / 145 / 185 / 225 (+ 20%AP) CD: 13 / 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 seconds

E: Radiant Shield Kira shields herself with light. For 5 seconds, she gains bonus resistances and deals magic damage to enemies around her. Enemies near her also become feared for 1 second, each enemy can only be struck by fear once per cast. Resistances: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 % Damage: 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 (+ 10% AP) (+ 2% of enemy's max HP) each second CD: 16 / 15 / 14 / 13 / 12

R: Shield of Heaven Kira creates an aura of light around her, that lasts for 6 seconds. Whenever a friendly champion (including Kira) within this aura is hit for more than 20% of their current HP, that damage is reduced by 20%. Enemies within that aura take magic damage every second. Additionally, enemy dashes have 25% shorter range and enemy movement abilities are 25% less effective (these effects apply to enemies that also enter the area). Damage: 40 / 60 / 80 (+ 20% AP) CD: 120/ 100 / 80 seconds

Gameplay

Kira is a champion that can play as a top laner or a support. Jungle might work too but her limited mobility wont be good for ganging. As a "warden tank", the role she fills is to protect the back line and soak up a ton of damage. Her kit has an abundance of crowd control with very short duration, but enough to stop any diver who made his way to the back line. Her ulty can also mitigate much of burst damage dealt by the enemy team. As a tank, she is also very sturdy and can soak up huge amounts of damage, becoming tougher the lower she drops. Her weaknesses are her low mobility, lack of reliable initiation and the short duration of her cc. Good timing on her abilities can completely negate any attempt of assassinations in her back line, but if they are used poorly they wont be of much use. Her ulty is a very strong tool if used at a good timing but wont do much if she uses it poorly.

(I don't do these "champion feedback" comments often, so sorry if this is a little disorganized)

I like this champion a lot, especially the ultimate. With a lot of burst currently in the game, an anti-burst ultimate sounds like a really good gameplay niche. That being said, here are my thoughts on her kit.

Passive: Divine Blood

Wasn't sold on this at first, given that it could lead to some weird instances of strategically taking damage. However, given that sustain passives feel kinda useless when you're full HP, I've come around on it.

Q: Smite

Not going to be talking about the damage (given that you addressed it), but the nearsight on a melee toplane champion is weird. It works as a support (hitting the enemy ADC with a clutch Q during a trade can really turn it around), and versus ranged champions it's definitely effective, but versus bruisers and tanks it'll probably feel a little underwhelming. Quinn's nearsight works because she has an auto range longer than its sight radius, and I don't see it as too powerful here. That being said, every champion has weaker parts of its kit (think Rakan Q), so it's not problem on its own.

W: Holy Wings

Ugh, knockbacks. I know that I have a bit of a bias against them (it's one of my flaws as a "champion reviewer" if you will) but even fans of them recognize that they're situational. That being said, they can be a great tool in the right situations, especially if you add a slow to it, so again, it's not a problem on it's own.

E:

Again, this ability is useful, but with only a 0.5 second fear, it simply doesn't do enough. I would definitely recommend increasing the fear duration, because if the enemy still gets hit despite all this counterplay, they should be punished for it.

R: My favorite part of her kit. Again, not addressing numbers here, but I would really recommend turning the dash reduction into a true knockdown. Yes, that would make it a little bit like Poppy W, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's completely unreasonable to expect every ability in a kit to not take any elements from other champions.

Overall comments.

There are many elements of this champion i like a lot, but it doesn't have that "WHAM" ability that most champions have (Thresh Q, Galio W etc.). I think that adding more generalist power to this kit could make her quite effective, and I look forward to seeing any updates to this concept and any other concepts you create.

I think you might have something with her as a jungler: Flash in, Fear, Knockback could make a pretty good gank. Best of luck!

@dariusdemiurge an angel for you to judge.

As for I, needs a new name, Kira is not a great name. Passive is a bit much like a slightly altered and CertainlyT take on Irelia E.

Everything else seems acceptable. The ulti is a bit weird and I wouldn't trust riot to code that.

As a tank she should get home, armor, mr scaling in place of AP.
