[Champion Concept] Ira, the Ruinous Doctor
Ok, so I'm still a beginner when it comes to this game so my ideas are pretty rough. I'm not even a regular on the boards, I haven't lurked as much as I ought, and this is probably an unbalanced mess. I'm not very good with balancing towards hard numbers at all, so this is mostly concepts. Please pardon the dust.
Introducing: Ira, the Ruinous Doctor!
Ira is a ranged support champion whose kit revolves around damage: absorbing, repurposing, and redirecting it.
Da Lore Driven by an unquenchable desire to ease pain and suffering, Ira has taken up a permanent residence within Noxian borders. Ira was born with healing magic with an unfortunate twist: he can expunge any wound from another person, but must inflict the same wound upon himself. Healing a broken leg makes Ira's crumple beneath him, every gash removed opens up a wound on his own body in the exact same spot, every burn smoothed over inflicts searing pain upon himself. Ira has been careful to never take upon himself a wound too many, lest his altruism become his undoing.
Years upon years of tending the downtrodden masses has left Ira's body battered in his youth. Ira's own health has forced him to seek an alternative to destroying himself and still maintaining his ability to help. He hid himself away for years, secretly amassing ruby gemstones with the purpose of infusing his magical power into them. After completing his task, he set the gemstones into magical foci in the form of jewelry of any kind he could obtain: necklaces, bangles, bracers, piercings, rings, anything. The foci inlaid with the gems would contain the brunt of the damage in Ira's stead. As soon as his task was complete, Ira poured every ounce of pain and suffering he had amassed into the foci. With his body free of burdens his work could continue, and Ira began to turn his eye to the wicked people responsible for the suffering brought first upon his patients, then upon him.
"The doctor is in."
But What Does He Do? Ira does a few things! He heals, he roots, he slows, he's probably pretty annoying...
Passive: Altruism -Ira and one allied champion nearest Ira enjoys an increase in health and mana/resource regeneration so long as they stay within range of each other.
Q: Eustress and Distress -Click-on single target ability. -Can be cast on allied and enemy champions. -On ally (Eustress): Ira expunges a wound from an ally, healing them and generating a stack of Wound. Casting after reaching maximum stacks damages Ira. -On enemy (Distress): Ira inflicts a stored wound, damaging and slowing them based on available stacks of Wound. All Wound stacks are consumed on successful cast. Casting with maximum stacks roots the target. -Wound stacks up to 5 times maximum.
W: Empathize -Click-on single target ability. -Ira links himself to an ally for a few seconds, transferring all debuffs and status effects on the targeted champion to Ira.
E: Preventative Medicine -Passive: Ira preps his foci to absorb incoming damage, forming a persistent, weak shield around himself. -The shield disappears after it's depleted and creates a stack of Retribution. -Active: Ira consumes the stack of Retribution to launch the absorbed damage in a lined skillshot, damaging and slowing all enemies in the path. -The shield does not return until after the active is cast.
R: Red Strings -Channeled ability(?) -Ira becomes a conduit of pain and suffering, linking himself to all ally and enemy champions within a certain range. -Damage taken by attached allies is partially redirected to attached enemies.
