Elemental Tank Mage - Kit,Build
This mage will be designed for top lane.He will be tanky and he will have a decent HP start-up. Ive been thinking for some kind of mage like ryze (because Ryze gets really tanky) / but this type of mage will be elemental (meaning he will use the wind as a tool to power himself) He will be powerful and if he gets fed he will be very hard to deal with.He doesnt have an armor instead he uses the wind to protect himself and your teammates.Basically using the wind as a shield and a weapon.Lets talk about his abilities
His passive - If you buy more HP you will get more armor. Tho you wont get much because we dont want overpowered champion. Why more Armor? - Because when you face an AD champion like Darius,jax on top lane you will have a little bit problem dealing with them. And if i face an AP champion? - Well you just build an AP item with health inside of it. That will grant you both magic resist and armor. Remember that the passive will give you small amounts of armor not much. As i said nobody likes something too op. The passive can be optimized and then ready to use.
I would say that his passive will help him with the early game poke. It will provide a decent armor bonus. I would say that is even good for first level 1 vs 1 ~
(Rock Solid)
His kit its pretty interesting. If you look in his kit - his q,w,e ( You will see that he is a spell caster who uses his abilities to destroy enemies. But on the other hand when you turn on your R you become really dangerous and Thats when you turn the tables
Onto his passive again - Well in order for his passive to be optimized i think he needs to be tested in the PBE or somewhere Else to guess what is good for him. With the unique design of his passive he will able to stand infront of ADC's. He will have a proper defence against them.You wont be scared of teleporting to bot lane and then one shotted because you dont have a defence and you are mage. You will have a defence against that. When you are in the champion info you see that a certain champion has 2 or 3 bars of toughness (Im talking about in client) This champion will have 2 bars of toughness (Im sure that this amount of defence is good for a AP tank mage. Not too much not too little, somewhere in the middle
Considering he is AP and a Tank we dont want too much Defence. Because he will deal massive amount of damage and he will be hard to deal with.All im saying he needs a good AP ratio's and defence.
**Let's talk about his Q ** - His Q will be the primary tool for poking. The Mage will hit somebody (dealing damage of course) and immediately behind the enemy a wind will be created and if there is somebody behind them it will knock them up and they will be slowed. However the champion that you hit will not be knocked up and slowed He will just receive the damage from your Q - The knock up and the slow is for the enemies behind them - I hope you understand what i mean. So you ask yourself what will happend if i hit an minion with this ability - Well the answer is that (it will have the same affect) So what can i use it for?
You can use it for many things and here is an example.
- Combo with other champions
- Use the wind behind the minion to deny the enemy Farm (But he can dodge it if he is smart)
- When 2 people are chasing you - (That happends mostly when you are ganked) If you are creative you can hit a minion and knock them up (2 of them) and escape. If you have a chance
- Use it as a poking ability
- Combo with your own abilities
So you can do alot of things with your Q if you are creative.The knock duration will be (1 sec) I think that is a fair amount of time to be knocked up. Because on the other hand you have slow. Why 1 sec? - Well i think 1 sec is really good number because if you take an champion like Yasuo > His Tornado keeps you for a longer time in Air. That's my perspective. If its not 1 sec and its 0,8 or something correct me. I dont know exactly. I dont want the knock-up ability to be more than 1 sec because when you are in teamfight / your Q will be very overpowered and broken. Again - Testing matters
When the Mage hits somebody and the wind behind them (The range will be not that long)
Lets move to his W - His W will be some sort of defence ability. When the champions want to attack you / you cover yourself with wind and then explode dealing damage and slowing them. This ability is great for defending yourself so use it wisely. The W wont give you any shield - in the fact the explosion from your W is indeed a defence. Because Most of the people when they hear about defence they imagine some sort of shield or Armor/Magic Resist buff up. But that is not what his W do. He uses the explosion as a tool to weaken up enemies and then they flee from him.
But thats not it - The ability is a Defense Ability but you can use it as an engaging one too. Just think of it - If you use your W and then start running towards the enemy champion you will damage then and then slow them. And then you can land your Q. You can play both offensive and defensive. This is good because you can change your playstyle whenever you want.
Let's talk about his E - His E will be an engaging ability - The Wind will empower you and you will gain speed - (Also they will be an animation for this. While you are charging towards the enemy champion a shield will appear above your head it have 15% of blocking the basic attacks of the enemy adc's or other champions. When you level up this ability the chance will increase itself. I dont say it have to be 15% it can be lower. It can be optimized. This ability is good when you chase an enemy adc. Because the adc will keep poking you with basic attacks untill your reach to them. What is good about this ability?
- Gives you speed
- Gives you defense (both you and your teammates)
- Used to chase somebody
- Provides a good amount of speed for R position
And finally lets talk about his R - Basically the champion will become Untargetable and it will transform into a Giant Deadly Tornado - Keep in mind that this is Not - Janna Q or Yasuo Q. It will NOT knock UP enemies! He will deal damage per second +slowing them in the tornado. The Tornado itself will be so powerful that it will start pull enemies closer (if they are not moving it will pull them alot of closer) One thing to point here - When you press your Ultimate you become Untargetable and you can't move. You will stay in one position and deal damage. When your ultimate is done you will transform back. Also this ability can be named - The Eye of The Tornado I think its pretty cool. I think it will be really cool to see a giant Tornado on the Rift
His ultimate is best used in teamfights. This ultimate brings so much on the table.i think its a good idea because it provides really good amounts of damage / because when you are untargatable you can use your normal abilities. So keep in mind that you can can make an mistake - You can press your R where the enemy team is not there. And when you are in Ultimate form you cant flash or use abilities so you will leave your team do deal with your enemies.
Teammates should stay near the tornado because they are protected and you are with them.
