#Spellforger: A Compilation of Excerpts From The Diary of Archwizard Elgear Crossarre

##Excerpt 1: On the creation of the Wandforge I've done it! I've finally established a viable way to embue mana directly into wood, allowing someone without much magical talent to cast even the grandest of spells. While I am fearful to publish the exact methods used in creating what I have come to call the "Wandforge" for fear of my enemies in the Black Rose getting such information, I can attest that it requires a magician of great power and with a wealth of mana at their disposal to use effectively.

The next stage of testing begins within the next two months.

##Excerpt 2: About the Attempted Assassination Good men lost their lives today. It seems we have a leak in our department. While I was taking the wonderful hextech vehicle piltover officials had sent for my relocation to their college, a large magical blast removed the plated doorway. Wilhuff and Grimier were killed in the initial blast. A spark of magic penetrated my chest - shrapnel from the explosion, no doubt. I can feel it slowly crawling its way towards my lungs and heart. I do not have time.

It seems I will have to do what I did not wish to. I will begin scouting for an apprentice post-haste.

##Excerpt 3: Brienne Tenebris It has been three months since the attempted extinguishing of my life by who I can only assume would be the Black Rose. In this time, the magical shard has refused to dissipate inside of my body, and instead is on the precipice of penetrating my right lung. I have been drinking a routine supplement which enchants and hardens the outer membrane of said lung, though it is rapidly beginning to lose its effectiveness.

During this time, I have searched throughout Runeterra for a worthy apprentice. So far, while there have been promising candidates (such as Miss Luxana Crownguard of Demacia) none seem to have what I am looking for.

Save for one. One Brienne Tenebris of Grindlewood, a small village located near the Marshes of Kaladoun, just outside of the Demacian Kingdom's borders. Unlike the others I have considered, Miss Tenebris has no prior teaching, and absolutely no knack for magic.

Perfect.

##Final Excerpt: Unnamed My lifes work... is complete.

#Brienne's Struggle.

I never truly came to know the man who saved me. He was nice and smart - wise, my tutors would say - but he was often withdrawn. I was never truly told what medical disease he suffered from, but I knew it brought great pain to him, and often limited him to the uppermost floor of the tower we lived in.

When I say he saved me, I don't mean physically... well, perhaps I do, though. Grindlewood was by no means wealthy. In fact, when lord Crossarre had found me, I was on the verge of starving. Weeks prior, my family had abandoned me, fleeing for the Demacian border in the hopes of integrating into the society. Something tells me it didn't work.

Lord Crossarre - Elgear, as he frequently reminded me to call him - was a kind man, who promised that he would teach me many things - magic, science, proper maths and language, history... He clothed me, fed me, and filled each and every day with a treasure trove of new information.

As his student - apprentice, he called me - I often helped him out in small ways. Holding this dragon's scale back so he could inject a fluid to cure the creature's illness, pinning this yeti in place so he could do tests. It was... fun, to say the least.

That all ended recently, though. He passed in the night, beside a thick, leather bound book with my name scrawled across the top. After a short discussion with his staff, they urged me to take up his legacy, grab his books and go into the sub-basement.

Now... the sub-basement was the one place I was never allowed to go. No one but Elgear was allowed to go. It simply wasn't allowed. Many nights I had laid in my bed and listened to the howls of haunting demons and the grinding of magically powered hextech gears echo up through the black stone from below.

Needless to say, I was afraid.

What I found... it changed my life.

Now, do you see these wands? I call them... Elgear's Embrace.

#Concept Brienne is designed as a pure magic damage ADC. She's heavily based off of the concept of a "wandslinger" a.k.a. someone who dual-wields wands.

#Stats and Moveset

Health 498 (+83 a level) Attack Damage 47.5 (+3.25 a level) Health Regen 5.42 (+0.55 a level) attack speed 0.668 (+3.3% a level) Mana 268.8 (+35 a level) Armor 23.38 (+3.5 a level) Mana Regen 6.87 (+0.4 a level) Magic Resist 30 (+0 a level) attack range (ranged) 525 Movement speed 335

##passive - Spellslinger Brienne's basic attacks deal 100% of their damage (except what comes from items) as magic damage but only scale with 80% of her max AD.

##Q - Magic Missiles "I cast Magic Missile!" For the next 2.5 seconds, Brienne's basic attacks deal 30/40/50/60/70+100% AD magic damage and can not miss (as if from dodge or blind)

##W - Counter-spell "it probably wasn't a very good spell anyway." Brienne conjures a spell-shield for .5 seconds, consuming the next spell that hits her and empowering her next basic attack with a lesser version of the spell's effect (i.e. after blocking noxian guillotine or a similar high-damage spell, her next basic attack deals additional damage) Blocking a damaging spell causes your next basic attack to deal 5/10/15/20/25% AP bonus damage (a minimum of 10 additional damage) Blocking a slow will cause your next basic attack to slow an enemy by 8/10/14/18/22% (+5% AP)% of their movement speed

##E- Displacement "You can't see me, my time is now." Brienne teleports to a target location, gaining 10/20/30/40/50% attack speed for the next 1.5 seconds. Getting a kill instantly resets Displacement's cooldown.

##R - Elgear's Legacy "Turn to page 394" Brienne has the ability to "purchase" up to 3/4/5 spells each time she goes back to the fountain. She can activate these abilities by activating her ult and then pressing a coresponding button that would usually house a skill. Using an ult spell instantly gives Brienne 100 mana

##Q - Dragon's Fire for the next 1.5 seconds Brienne releases fire from the tips of her wands, dealing 40/60/80+120% AD in magic damage to her target and 50% of that damage to enemies behind her target.

##W - Cure Light Wounds Brienne heals the targetted Ally or herself for 100/200/300+50% AD health.

##E - Mirror Images Brienne Surrounds herself with 2/3/4 mirror images of herself, which each take all damage as true damage and deal 20% of Brienne's AD on basic attack.

#Mirror Image stats Health: 20% of Brienne's current health at the time of activation Damage: 20% of Brienne's AD Mana: N/A Ability power: N/A Move speed: 100% of Brienne's

Mirror images deal 10% less damage to enemies that other mirror images are attacking.

Her passive has to be nerfed because magic damage is inherently better than physical damage. At the very minimum I'd say Kalista's passive weakness:

Her auto attacks scale with 90% AD

I'd actually go for 75% AD and near Annie levels of attack speed.

Also, even though it might be against the concept, give her some AP scalings as MF doesn't even use magic but has them, and so does Corki, and so on.

W can block stuns as well?

And are you sure the ult GIVES her 100 mana per spell cast? Shouldn't that be exactly the opposite?

Hey There!

Like the concept!

Not really much else to say... but I really enjoyed reading it! :D

I've had a similar concept to this bouncing around my head for about a year. That passive, built into an otherwise traditional adc kit, would be a very interesting addition to the game. Maybe someday we'll see it.
