"New" IE Icon?

Hello fellow summoners! As most of you probably already know, a lot of ADC items are being changed on the PBE; but I am not here to talk balance. The first thing that caught my eye was the "New" IE icon. it seems kinda old compared to the icon we currently have. So, why change the icon? does it need a refresh? Maybe, I mean the item is pretty old. But if we're talking about refreshing the icon, why not ACTUALLY make a fresh one? I know that its gonna take time and effort, but. If we need a replacement, why give it one that is not as good as the original? Why give it an icon that looks a lot like older icons when you want something new?

In my opinion, the icon on the PBE looks better than the current one.

Riot seems under the impression that players will lose their minds in utter confusion if they change icons, so they don't. I've seen them say this before. They seriously underestimate the intellect of players, and it's insulting. If we get a new icon, we will adapt and learn that the icon is new. Humans learn.
