New Assassin Jungle Item? (Crit Jungle Item)

Hey there, Onwodori here.

So the idea I have for a new jungle Item would effectively be a Static Shiv that helps clear the jungle super well. Champions that gank well but struggle to clear the jungle or for people that want the clear and the burst when they go to gank would be:

Shaco Alistar Blitzcrank Rengar Evelynn Nocturne Pantheon Quinn Twitch Tryndamere MonkeyKing Graves

All ADC junglers would love it too! I'd imagine it would look something like this:

item 3715 /item 3706 /item 3711 +item 1051 + item 1051 + 775 gold = Enchantment: Burstbolt

Stats: 30% Critical Strike +10% movement speed out of combat. UNIQUE Passive - Burstbolt: When not attacking, you build charges of Burstbolt up to 100 stacks. Attacking spends all charges and resets the value to zero, gaining .5 - 1.5 (.5 at level 1, 1 at level 6 and 1.5 at level 11 onward) bonus physical damage per stack [Think Thresh's Flay passive] At 100 stacks, your next auto attack is sure to critically strike. If Burstbolt is used at 100 stacks on a Jungle Monster, the damage is doubled and applies to all nearby monsters.

100 charges damage:

Level 1-5 (.5 x 2 x 100) = 100, 200 against monsters.

Level 6 - 10 (1 x 2 x 100) = 200, 400 against monsters.

Level 11 - 18 (1.5 x 2 x 100) = 600, 1200 against monsters.

This would force you to be patient to generate the stacks for clearing and ganking as otherwise the item is not especially helpful.

*DOES NOT STACK WITH STATIC SHIV OR RAPID FIRE CANNON

I figure this will help the assassin champions out a lot while not giving them a huge head start -- they'll be able to clear better when they get this item and it will help their ganks, but the power spike incurred is not as huge due to there not being any AD behind this critical damage yet.

Let me know what you think! I think it fills a niche that is currently open.

Why don't you just make it build out of item 2015 and item 1051 and have the same passive name as the other items? It's a little more expensive, but the combine cost can be lowered so the total cost is equal to the others. It would, by necessity, have a bit of attack speed, but that's not really a bad thing.

That was the original build path but I wanted it to be purely critical damage -- devourer already has AS covered. But I see where you are coming from completely.

While I agree that Dev already is the AS go to, I think people who get crit want attack speed as well. People who want attack speed don't always want crit, so I don't think there will be too much overlap on the items

Well I imagine after this item, you'd then get either a big AD item or an AD item with AS built in.

People who build something like item 3031 item 3508

Shaco Graves Quinn Gangplank Twitch Rengar

People who build something like item 3142 item 3078 item 3153

The ADCs, again, or Jax Irelia Tryndamere Yasuo Olaf

I've thought this through some and I really believe that it would aid a considerable number of champions in giving them that initial item where they can ramp immediately into a big item afterwards. It gives them enough power to clear or jungle, but not overwhelmingly so and makes the period between getting big second and third items more tolerable.

We have item 1419 AS, item 1412 AD, item 1402 AP and item 1409 HP. Why would we need more ?

why not make it build out of a new item, then add a new passive where it charges up ur crit chance as u move, so if its at 50, you would have a 50% crit chance. and on top of that once at 100% it has the item 3087 shock on hit.

Oooh I like that actually. So long as it helps Assassin's clear and makes it clear that it is most beneficial to let it stack all the way, sure!
