Idea for Katarina ultimate
Most of Katarina's damage is focused in her ult. However almost every new champion has a way to escape it and/or interrupt it, leaving her pretty useless. Some time ago a good Katarina used to wait until those abilites are used and then strike. Now there are so many of them it is almost impossible to win a teamfight if you wait until they are used, so I got an idea that should make her ult match current playstyle.
- Death lotus is no longer a channelled spell, she won't be able to autoattack or use other spells (see exception below)
- She will be able to move with lower movement speed and she also ignores unit collision
- Range of spell will also be reduced for the same reasons, but will be getting a little bigger for each nearby enemy (reaches max range with 3 enemies present)
- Spell can still be interrupted
- Kata will be able to use shunpo (her E spell) during ultimate [but it will not deal damge in that case]
- Spell can be cancelled by recasting it
Range is reduced so enemies can still outrun her, but increases so she could deal damage if enemies are escaping in different directions. By allowing Kata to use shunpo while ulting she can:
- walk into teamfight start ulting and use shunpo to get out of way of posible skillshot interrupts or catch up to fleeing enemy
- use it to join the fight imidiatelly but leave her exposed to interrupts
So what do you guys think? Any suggestions?
