[Champion Concept] Catch, the gutter leech
Another idea that popped into my head. no artwork, or idea on stats, or role.
Catch, the gutter leech
A wretched little child creature, surviving off the scraps of the proud city of Noxus Prime. Riddled with parasites that need it to survive, they ensure it does. It was once called 'Urchin' while surviving off of an event known as 'the Fleshing', cleaning up in the darkness after the cheering crowds would leave. It doesn't remember much before 'the Fleshing', but once this gathering was canceled, it had to find other ways to survive... picking up names along the way, like 'Filth', 'Beggar', 'Thief', 'Criminal', 'Monster'... 'Murderer'. It wasn't named Catch until later. Later, like after it was found and dragged from the sewers it called home. Later, like after it was placed in a stone room with with rusty metal covering all the windows and doors. Later, like after people in a large and crowded room called it Butcher, while talking about how little remained of the 'scraps' named Victim. Later, as in when a man screamed its new name 'CATCH!!!' and threw one of his axes... giving it the first thing it could remember...
Melee Resource Leeches : Every 100 health Catch can store a Leech. Leeches will be generated every few seconds (or based on health gained?).
Passive : Living Colony - Catch can only Auto Attack if Leeches are stored, and its Auto Attacks will attach a leech to hostile units. Health gained is increased by ~1% per stored leeches, double this if leeches are at max. *Leeches drain health gained up to a cap based off of Catch's max health. Leeches will passively fall off after a few seconds if another Leech is not applied (dealing cap damage to non-champions), or once they hit the health gained drain cap. Leeches can be attacked by towers, and enemy champions they are not attached to to cause them to fall off early. Leeches that fall off can be attacked by hostile units and will have 1 plus the drained health. Leeches will move towards Catch, adding a stored Leech and healing it for the leeches current health when picked up. If Catch moves to far away from Leeches they will lose 20% of the stored health a second. Leeches will layer in a spiral around a hostile unit's hit box.
Q : Catch's Embrace (Short CD, cost 1 Leech per charge)- Catch charges up and lash in a left to right swath of leeches, dealing physical damage. Catch can charge up to current leeches stored, adding additional range and charge time for each leech added. *If charged to cap Catch will hold for up to 2 second before this ability fails dropping all leeches around it. any leeches who come into contact with hostile units will become attached, and the remaining will slowly move back towards Catch (they will only have 1 hp).
W : Sponges (1-5 charges, Medium Recharge, Short CD, cost 1 leech per charge)- Catch has a few special leeches named Sponge who explode based on situations. Hostile units caught in the explosion are dealt physical damage, and slowed or stunning based on their proximity to the blast. Passive - Sponges hang on Catch's back, absorbing Champion and Tower based attacks directed from behind, exploding in a cone directed behind Catch. Active - Catch throws a Sponge in the target direction. If a Sponge intercepts a missile on its way, it will exploding in a cone. If it comes into contact with an enemy unit it will explode in a circle. *Catch can have 1 Leech named Sponge per skill level. Sponge will stop damage, debuffs and CCs that come from attacks, skill shots, or targeted abilities. Sponge will not activate on ground based skills.
E : Accepted Gifts/Returned Gifts (Medium CD) - Catch will catch all hostile missiles that enter its range for a very short period of time. these missles will circle Catch 3 times before disappearing, adding leeches and reducing the cool down based on amount of missiles (or damage prevented?). This ability can be reactivated to throw the caught missiles back, keeping the original affects. *Catch can move while attempting to catch, and the catch window is very small increasing with skill level (0.25+0.06). Additional levels will also allow Catch to throw the missiles back further and faster. Missiles are thrown back based on the direction and order they are circling.
R : Butcher of Noxus Prime - All Leeches attached to hostile units in range start feeding directly on health, hitting cap after 3 seconds. Once these Leeches hit cap they explode in the direction they are layered, individually dealing damage to units around, and healing Catch if it is within the blasts. If a champion is killed by the health drain they will explode into 'scraps' *The closer units are to explosions, the more it will be damage or healed in Catch's case. 'scraps' can be right-clicked by Catch to heal it for a % of missing health.
