So, what's the deal with Hytale, is this some sort of a new video-game, a mod, a map, game mode, what is this ? Also, why does it say "With aid and investment from League Of Legends studio Riot". Does this mean the "new game" Riot has been working on for a while now is this ? It seems too by a lot of other works and videos, discussion posts, et cetera...
I don't think that means they were developing it. "Aid and investment" sounds like a much more passive role, maybe giving a little bit of resources.
It's a standalone game (not a mod for Minecraft), I think hypixel studios are working on the game.

Hytale is a new Videogame from Hypixel Studio and as I understand it, Riot Games supports them both in programming and as Invenstor. "[...] a new game development studio formed with support from Riot Games [...]"
