Nakamaro [Servant of the Oni]
Let me say first that I enjoy a champion that's a challenge to learn and to play. With that in mind, I fully understand that the champion concept I post will not be liked by everyone, though I welcome any and all CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. In addition, some tooltips will be a little lengthy. My apologies.
Overview: Nakamaro doesn't "use" any resource per-say. Instead, he relies on killing enemies (neutral or opposing team) in order to sustain this much needed "resource". You will immediately notice that I placed the word resource in quotes in my last sentence; this is because Nakamaro doesn't use this to fight, but he needs to sustain it. If Nakamaro does not keep this maintained, his life will slowly start to deplete until he himself is killed, or until he kills an enemy and gains more of it. This mechanic is intended to encourage the player to be very aggressive and combative at the onset of the game, whether it be farming in the jungle, the enemy creeps, or gaining player kills.
Nakamaro (Servant of the Oni)
Hero Type: melee Resource: Yin
Passive: The Blade Hungers...
The evil sword that Nakamaro carries constantly thirsts for more blood. As Nakamaro kills enemies, his attacks will become stronger and the enemy will be petrified, though dead. After a short time, the sword will accept the offering and consume the yin of the killed target, sating its hunger for a little while longer. If Nakamaro fails to kill any enemies and runs out of yin, the sword will begin to drain the life from Nakamaro until he kills something.
Passive Mechanics:
- 3 second offering timer (killing another enemy within the 3 seconds will reset the timer)
- 5 levels of attack power increase, each level increases damage by 5%
2a: 1-4 enemies (level 1) 2b: 4-6 enemies (level 2) 2c: 6-8 enemies (level 3) 2d: 9 enemies (level 4) 2e: 10 enemies (level 5) 2f: If Nakamaro has slain 4 or more enemies within the 3 second timer, the final offering will yield 1.5 times the amount of yin from all targets slain
- Returning to base can replenish yin as well
Skills:
Q: Throw Kunai... 6 second cooldown Throws a kunai to slow the target by 15% for 1.5 seconds. Skill Shot.
W: Mirror Image... 6 second cooldown Dodges an enemy attack by creating an after image.
Can only be used during an enemy champion auto attack and before any damage is applied. Direction of the dodge can be changed depending on the position of the cursor. If Nakamaro dodges a fatal blow, the cooldown for Mirror Image is reset.
E: Jump Nakamaro leaps into the air, briefly giving him vision of the surrounding area. Throw Kunai can be used in a cone AOE while Nakamaro is airborne.
Allows Nakamaro to see through bushes, but NOT invisible targets... EG: Shaco invis, Eve invis, Rengars Thrill of The Hunt, etc. All targets caught within an air Throw Kunai will be slowed.
R: Makimono Scroll Nakamaro unleashes one of three powerful ninjitsu to aid him in combat. 6 second selection timer
- Ka'en... Sends out a fire nova from Nakamaros location, dealing a large amount of damage and applying a small burn DOT to enemies caught in the blast.
- Kamaitachi... Empowers Nakamaros sword with a temporary ranged attack.
- Raijin... Creates a shield of lightning around Nakamaro, absorbing a set amount of damage.
Ulti explanation: More or less, Nakamaros ulti would work In an extremely similar (if not exact) manner as twisted fates skill "Pick a Card". The starting icon for the skill would be the scroll itself and once used, the 3 spells would rotate until one is selected within the timer. The rotation will stop at whichever spell was there when the timer stopped. Once the spell is used, it returns to being the Makimono scroll.
Note: Enemies CANNOT see which of the 3 ninjitsu spells you select.
That's it for now. I don't have a really detailed outline of the characters starting stats or stat gain, but I wanted to pitch my idea and see what you guys thought of it. If I get some decent feedback I'll make another thread with the character a little more fleshed out
