Frobisher: The Amanuensis of History:

Introduction

Hello, all you Summoners! I got another champion concept here, this time, going down the literary path! Since school’s starting in September, I want to create a champion that utilizes the power of history and literacy to change the history of Summoner’s Rift. While reading the great authors of old, I thought to myself, why not create a champion who uses his pen to fight against his enemies! So, here is my finished product! Hope you like it!

As they say, the pen is mightier than the sword…

SPECIAL UPDATE FOR SEPTEMBER CHAMPION CONCEPT

THIS CHAMPION WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SEPTEMBER CHAMPION CONCEPT CONTEST! I HOPE FOR A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO SEE ALL OF THESE AWESOME CREATIONS!!!

Biography:

Midday, Three Moons Ago

My dear Johnson,

Today marks our fifth anniversary together in this peaceful land they call Valoran. It has been six months since I left for Piltover. This mechanized town of cherished inventions opens up to me like a mother to her child. Such welcoming nature reminds me of the warm glances you gave me when I saw your face. You always knew what was wrong with me, what to do when I was sad, and what made me smile. I can never forget the countless times you lit up my world.

I begin my job as an amanuensis for the Mayor of Piltover. Also, I have been asked by the League of Legends to compile a history of Valoran, starting from its origins. It will be very challenging to write the solid truth of this accursed world. So many blood has been spilled over the ages, many people cannot consider what is truly real and what is not. Truth is uniform in nature. It is the misinterpretations of the truth that are considered to be false. That is the apex of order that many of us refuse to see as light.

The hour grows late, Johnson. I will finish tomorrow, when I have time.

Evening, Seven Moons Ago

Johnson.

I never thought loneliness was such a heavy burden, even with all the support the people of Piltover and you gave me. Working in this lonely office at the stroke of midnight questions what vestige of humanity you have left, Johnson. The silence is deafening; the gods themselves have siphoned the sounds out of this dark place and left me with an unnerving silence that split the soul. I wish you were here, Johnson, at my side, in my arms, comforting me with your stoic presence, using not words to describe my eternal happiness together.

Have I ever told you about the definition of insanity? Insanity is doing the same, repetitive task, over and over, expecting such a change to occur. However, it is a futile effort, only existing in fantasy. I have spent years writing about the people’s lives, but not a second on mine. The voice of the people was only determined by a man whose image was unknown to all. In the end, I know not whether my story will be heard or not, as it is up for fate to decide our paths. We are all connected, through past and present, and even the unknown future. And we still move forward on the same path to which they call “Perfection”.

Tell me, Johnson.

Who is more insane? Me? The People? Or, is the entire world fallen into insanity?

Morning, 14 Moons Ago

I visited your grave, Johnson.

I could barely hold back the tears as I sobbed in the cold hard ground you lay in, rotting and desecrating like the hound they teased you as. You loved the people, especially the children the most. You were a school teacher, bringing our ideas to the next generation to follow. And, how did Valoran reward you? They stabbed you in the back. They indicted you for treason. They made me watch as they hung your dangling body from the Hanging Tree. And, they left your body on the gallows to rot.

THEY LEFT YOUR BODY ON THE GALLOWS TO ROT.

DID I EVER TELL YOU THE DEFINITION OF INSANITY?

Champion Concept

All Champions are connected. All Heroes fight for a cause that they deem as righteous and justly. All Villains stomp over other innocents and cowering individuals in order to achieve the ultimate power they desire. All Mercenaries care not for the cause of battle, all they want is coin and wealth. All Mystical Beings wish to promote Order Or Chaos, with their godly powers. All Leaders seek the right to rule Valoran. But, at the middle of all these connections, lies a struggling writer forced to complete the dangerous history of the League of Legends. Through his connections, all things will be cemented in history. His name is Frobisher, The Amanuenisis Of History!

Frobisher is a Utility Support Mage who relies on the actions of his allies to rewrite Valoran’s history. Driven to depression and a dangerously calm madness at a young age, Frobisher seeks to write his final eulogy for the world to see, and in the end, rest alongside his childhood friend Johnson, murdered by Noxians. He is widely celebrated by Piltover citizens as a hero of the people, yet in Noxus, he is feared and shunned as a demon that feasts on children’s souls. Frobisher utilizes a wide variety of healing spells, mana restoration enchantments, and a plethora of barriers that stop the enemy in his tracks. Frobisher has very low offensive capabilities, and if easily caught in an ambush, is a very easy target for enemy champions to target.

Gameplay Information

Frobisher’s main role in his team is support. PURE SUPPORT. Very few of his abilities offer strong damage capabilities to his opponents. What he does make up for this is the immense power he uses to support his allies with unbreakable barriers, powerful shields, decent slows, and a game changing ultimate that allows his allied champions to go in for the kill. However, improper timing on Frobisher’s ultimate can send a team member to death, if they dive under a turret for a champion kill. Critical timing and precise accuracy is the make or break moment for Frobisher.

When Laning, always stay behind your teammate. If you venture out too far to the enemy side, enemy champions can pick you off from a distance, scoring an easy kill. Use Q to disrupt the minion count of enemy ADCs, and to seal off potential Jungle Ganks when the enemy Jungler tries to ambush you. Ward often to know when to place walls or slow the enemy with your E. Your W is an ADC’s best friend when he or she is at low health; it is imperative to use the shield often on your ally, as the Ink’s regeneration is fast and quick.

In teamfights, Frobisher changes the outcome and history of the battlefield with his crowd control abilities. Use Q to initiate a fight by splitting up members of a group of enemy champions. The Q is also very useful in Baron Raids, by trapping the enemy in the Baron Pit or sealing off the Baron Entrance. E, when cast on a group of enemy champions can slow the enemy team long enough for your allies to go in for the kill. However, the most useful of Frobisher’s initiations is his ultimate, “Who Rewrites History?”. Mainly, this is the bread and butter for starting fights. Use it often when you have the chance, then stay back behind your allies to avoid getting killed after the stun duration.

Skins:

Mafia Frobisher: Taking a design similar to Tom Hagen in The Godfather, this eccentric lawyer uses the law to strike down his opponents.

Justicar Frobisher: Clad in white priest’s robe and a holy crown, Frobisher smites down the demons that refuse to welcome light in their hearts.

FAQ:

Q: Can Zhonya’s Hourglass be used for avoiding the stun effect of Who Rewrites History?

A: Of course! Also, Mercurial Scimitar and Quicksilver Sash can also be used to avoid the stun on Frobisher’s Ultimate!

Q: Can Frobisher be used as other than a support?

A: I’d highly recommend Frobisher as Support, but, experienced players can try and Mid with Frobisher. In the Mid Lane, he is a Utility Mage, and his damage output mainly goes through his basic attacks and his E ability.

Q: If Frobisher is caught in a 1v1 solo with another champion, what is the best choice of option?

A: For most players, Frobisher has a variety of tools to escape champions, so retreating to a safe place is a viable option. However, experienced players can trap their opponents in Frobisher’s Q, and deliver a beatdown with proper kiting. This is not recommended, as the wall disappears after 5 seconds if a champion hits it.

Summary:

Thank you so much for reading my champion concept, Frobisher! Please leave an upvote or a comment on your opinions on this champion! I will be updating this for more changes! Feel free to leave any questions and don’t be afraid to ask! Thanks again, and best of luck on the Fields of Justice!

Ridiculously OP. >.<

Even if he had no other abilities, that ultimate would make him the best champion in the game by far. Then on top of that, his Q is Wind Wall and Event Horizon in one ability and he gets free massive dual penetration for his entire team.
