New Minion Concept

The idea behind this new minion is that it acts as a repair minion. One would be present in each wave of minions without a siege minion, only when at least one turret has been destroyed, and only in that specific lane. This minion will ignore all distractions (i.e. will not attack or defend) and continue to move toward and repair or rebuild each subsequent turret until all turrets are functional in that lane. If all turrets are restored to function, regardless of their health status, the minions will cease to spawn until a turret in that lane is destroyed again.

The minion itself will repair slowly; possibly restoring turret health at the rate a standard minion would remove it. Each additional repair minion will speed up the repair or rebuilding of a turret. A turret will not be fully functional until it is completely repaired and may be destroyed before completion. An inactive turret under construction should be marked inactive by some means.

I think that such a minion would discourage a lane from being neglected for too long and encourage split pushing. It should also encourage destroying the nexus quickly to finish the game once the nexus turrets have been destroyed.

That would only work if the repair built the turret's health up to 100% before the turret respawned, otherwise you'd run into issues like refilling towers over and over again.

This is a cool idea that might counteract the crazy minion snowballing mechanics Riot added, but it seems too strong and would let games drag on for ages.
