Maeve - The Inquisitor

Passive Ability - Power of the Inquisition 1st Ability - Act of Valor 2nd Ability - Righteous Flames 3rd Ability - Word of the Law Ultimate Ability - Final Judgement

Passive Ability - Power of the Inquisition Passive The Inquisitor exudes an air of authority, causing all damage from targets under the effects from crowd control effects to be reduced by 7.5% against The Inquisitor. Additionally, upon entering combat, The Inquisitor's first basic attack jumps a short distance [200 bonus range] at the target and impales them, dealing 9% of the enemy's current health in bonus magic damage to the target and increases allies' damage to that target by 5% for 2.5 seconds. Upon exiting combat for a minimum of 5 seconds, Power of the Inquisition is readied again.

1st Ability - Act Of Valor Active/Area Of Effect The Inquisitor leaps up into the air, then comes crashing down in a target location after a 0.5 second delay. Enemies caught in the Area of Effect take 70/110/150/190/230 (+0.4 Ability Power; +5% maximum health) magic damage and slows the target's struck by 45/50/55/60/65% that decays over 1.75 seconds. If an enemy is already slowed from Word Of The Law, then all targets affected are stunned for 1 second as well as slowed. If The Inquisitor is stunned, slowed, immobilized, charmed, taunted, rooted, or silenced while charging up the jump; the jump is interrupted, the cooldown of Act Of Valor is set to 2 seconds, and half the mana cost is refunded.

2nd Ability - Righteous Flames Active/Line The Inquisitor throws out a scorching barrier in front of her that is 500/575/650/725/800 units wide. Projectiles that pass through the barrier from allies are ignited with righteous flames, causing them to deal 40/70/100/130/160 (+0.5 Ability Power) magic damage to enemies over 5 seconds. The damage does not stack, only extends the duration. If a melee champion, including The Inquisitor, runs through the barrier, they are empowered with Righteous Flames, giving them the fire damage damage over time that lasts as a buff for 4 seconds. If the damage over time kills the enemy, the owner of the initial damage gains the kill. The barrier lasts up to 5 seconds.

3rd Ability - Word Of The Law Active/Area Of Effect The Inquisitor shouts out with all his authority, affecting both enemies and allies in a 400 AoE. Enemies take 60/105/150/195/240 (+0.45 Ability Power; +5.0/6.5/8.0/9.5/11% maximum health) magic damage and are slowed by 20% for 2 seconds. If enemies are already slowed from Act Of Valor, the targets affected are stunned for 1 second as well as slowed. Allies that hear The Inquisitor's voice are empowered with a zealous fury for 3.5 seconds, gaining 0.100/0.135/0.170/0.205/0.240 bonus attack speed; as well as 30 movement speed upon striking an enemy.

Ultimate Ability - Final Judgement Active/Skillshot The Inquisitor extends and stabs her flaming lance in a line [500 distance], dealing 120/180/240 (+0.5 Attack Damage; +0.5 Ability Power) magic damage in a line and briefly interrupting any enemies struck. If the strike hits an enemy champion, The Inquisitor blinks behind her target and knocks them in the air for 1.25 seconds, dealing a further 80/120/140 (+12% bonus maximum health) magic damage. If multiple enemy champions are struck, the last enemy champion to be struck is the only one knocked up and taking bonus magic damage.

Lore: *The war between Demacia and Noxus has been the longest in Runeterra history - as well as the bloodiest. It was a fight to the death; one that neither side was willing to surrender to. It was hard to tell if Demacia was winning or losing this war, but it was because of this that The Inquisition was created. A secretive society, they dedicated their lives to training in the defence of the royal bloodline and what should happen if the Monarch was to fall. *

Their training was rigorous and challenging; even the most hardy and strong willed fell to the ways of the Inquisition. Only the most sturdy, the most devoted, the most deadly of warriors were chosen in the defence of the Demacian bloodline. Very few ever made it to the ranks of the Inquisitors, but those who did were said to be the most mysterious and deadly of all Demacians. The majority of Demacia respected the Inquisitors and what they represented, but those who found themselves against the will of the Inquisitors were never heard from again.

Maeve was one of the nine; the original Inquisitors that founded the Inquisition in the name of Demacia. Her mission was one of the most important: ensure the safety of the prince, Jarvan. Most importantly; she did not exist to the royal family, and in doing so could never be spotted by the prince. So she spent her days watching over the prince from a distance. Even when he went to the fields of battle against Noxus, she followed him everywhere and never let him out of her sight.

When the squad Jarvan was with got ambushed by Noxians, Maeve did not hesitate in joining the fray. She cut a path through the Noxians, but in the end was too late to stop the Noxians from capturing the young prince. Wounded yet still standing, Maeve and the survivors followed the Noxian battalion and engaged them in combat once more. As their numbers began to dwindle and all hope beginning to fade from the Demacian soldiers, they were saved from an elite Demacian strike force led by the vanguard Garen. Once the situation was under control and the prince was safe, Maeve fell back into the shadows and continued to watch over the prince, unnoticed even by the warriors she had just fought beside.

Once Jarvan was safely escorted back to safety, Maeve left to inform the Inquisition of what had occurred. The leader of the Inquisition heard her message in great detail and, once finished, sent Maeve back to follow the prince once again. Upon trying to locate the prince, she could not. From the whispers of soldiers throughout the ranks, she had heard that the prince had left the Demacian ranks with a small contingent; their whereabouts unknown. Maeve, riddled with shame at losing her charge, left in pursuit of the Demacian prince, determined to find him and fulfill her mission.

She traveled across the lands, searching for any sign of the young prince. All that was heard of were the whispers along the road, the remains left behind, the tracks left in the ground. She pursued the party of Demacians for well over a year before she finally lost their trail altogether. Shame in her stride, she began to make her long march back to Demacia. On the road back, she happened to come across her first lucky break in years: the rumors a group of peasants ere spreading about a fierce warrior joining the League of Legends wearing the armour of a Demacian royal. With furor in her stride and purpose in her steps, she pursued the rumors to the League of Legends, determined to fulfill her duty: to protect the Demacian prince or die trying.

I do like, actually.

Passive: Mini-dash on entering combat. And reduced damage from slowed people. Okay I can get behind that.

Q: Untargetability is very powerful. I'm not entirely sure if you should have that on an otherwise tanky bruiser person? I'd lower the stun from stacking slows to 1 second long, too(with the slow on top of that).

W: I'd remove the interaction with enemy projectiles, primarily because it's kinda clumsy and unclear. Reflavoring to a firewall that augments allied enemies would be pretty cool, however. I'd also add that allies moving through the wall deal the flame damage on their autos for 3 seconds or so as well, so that melees can benefit from it as well.

E: Range is MASSIVE. I'd reduce it to 500 units, likely(tryndamere's mocking shout is closest). Again, reducing the stun from stacking slows to 1 second long. It says it affects allies, but it doesn't say how it affects them?

R: Leona zenith blade that knocks up enemies hit. And a good deal of burst damage. It's simple and I really like it.
