Hello, and welcome to my champion concept and entry for CCOS. It's been awhile since I've posted a champion concept, but I look forward to doing this again! This time, my champion is Florence the Renounced Medic, and she's a champion concept that I thought of a little bit ago, but was not able to figure out till now. Author's notes will be at the end, but I'll go ahead and delve into the information about Florence. (Author's Notes will be in the end of the concept!)

LORE From - Noxus Affiliated with - Noxus Family - Mother and Father

A steel string drags under her flesh as she hides, her screams unable to reach out from beneath the cloth she placed in her mouth to prevent her from being heard by the enemy soldiers still rummaging nearby. In order to distract herself as she stitches her wound closed, she tries to lose herself in the memories of how she ended up where she was - beneath the corpses of her former comrades with a determination to live.

Her father died before she can even remember, a fool that gave away his life in battle to save another soldiers... he got no recognition, which was what Florence feared the most. Florence's mother was left with no skills but her charm to provide for Florence, who at the time was only a small child. She began to sell herself in order to scrape whatever money could be used to keep her and her Florence alive, but her charm was cheap and worth nothing more than a few coins in comparison to others.

While her mother was "working", Florence worked for a minimal amount as an extra set of hands for a neighbor, a doctor whose legacy is appreciated, but name forgotten. While there, Florence learned basic medical knowledge, a skill which proved invaluable later on in life. Florence worked there till she reached her teenage years, where she struggled to make herself known so that people would remember her as someone important, rather than a fading memory of nobody important.

By the time Florence was a teenager, she had surpassed the doctor in their knowledge and was able to begin her own practice of medicine. Her mother, whom old age had taken away any remaining charm that remained, became her first patient. Through the years of constant stress and decaying food, Florence's mother became especially susceptible to sickness, to the point where she could not even leave her bed. In an attempt to save her mother, Florence studied medical books she obtained from her former employer, desperate for a way to repay her mother for what she did. Florence's mother was the first patient to die under Florence's care.

A corpse is nothing more than a corpse, simply a shell of somebody that was once living. They are simply equal to that of discarded waste, especially if that person did not have any honorable achievements in their life. Florence's mother was nobody to be remembered, and would only cost time to be dealt with. However, Florence recognized her mother as the person that saved her... and would repay her mother in the only way she knows how to. Florence obtained two things through this repayment: fast and precise handwork, and a mutilated corpse to be disposed of.

Florence's name became known among the lower class of the streets quickly. She provided cheap care, along with renowned efficiency. Generosity had no place among Florence's priorities, but acknowledgment comes quicker to those that are perceived as generous. Unfortunately, being noticed can snowball into negativity if not maintained properly, which is precisely what happened when the Noxus military scouted Florence as a medic for their armies.

The blood of the battlefield was different from the sickness of the streets, one was intentional while the other was circumstantial. With every person Florence saved, two more died in their place. Even with her renowned speed, Florence could not be a savior. She gained even more recognition with those that she saved, but she gained a weight to carry for those that she could not. As she rose higher in rank, she felt lower in stamina. The only thing keeping her going the praise of those that lived... but even those became chants of mockery in her ears. Eventually, Florence decided to die... and to take those she believed to soil her name with her.

The taking of one's life is forbidden under any circumstances, and even more so for a doctor. Florence had no intention of letting her name become soiled by her death, and decided to end her life in a seemingly hopeless battle. A doctor's purpose is to not harm their patients under any circumstances, but these people were her tormentors, not her patients. She was going to make them all die with her, so that there was no one to tarnish her name after her death.

Florence saved their lives temporarily in the battle, but in exchange left them weakened: a torn ligament or internal bleeding through the opening of a vein usually did the trick. Her plan worked, and her side gradually began to lose the battle... until Florence realized her mistake too late. Every soldier tormenting her attempted to save her as the enemy army approached where she was. Eventually overtaken, Florence was protected to the death by those that she killed... wearing their blood as her armor while they were slain in front of her eyes. They could only do so much though, and eventually Florence was impaled in her side, sending extreme amounts of pain throughout her body, until she blacked out.

When she awoke, she was laying with her comrades corpses with the enemy stowing around... all while she was bleeding an extreme amount of blood. Florence knew that she would need medical attention nearly immediately or she would die, but she was unable to bring strength to her legs in order to move. Thinking nothing but of her survival, Florence did the only thing she could think of... she dragged her comrades bodies on top of her so that she could save herself.

While she began preparing herself for treatment, the weight of what she had done making her heavy handed as she worked. Despair seemed to be all she could feel, diluting the pain into near nothingness as she considered whether she truly deserved to live. She had caused all of this in an attempt to make herself "feel better" about her own shortcomings. If anything, she should be killing herself instead of preparing to save herself... but that would soil the names of the soldiers that defended her to their last breath. Florence had to live more than ever and make their names known throughout Noxus, rather than simply letting herself die now. Acknowledgement meant everything to Florence, and she was going to make sure these soldiers were acknowledged for saving her, even if she was killed in the process.

She wears a simple long dress that reaches down to her feet, that is colored red primarily, with dark colored stains seen on the bottom. The dress also has white sleeves rolled up. On top of the dress is an apron with a Noxian Crest over the right side of the apron (over her heart, essentially.) She carries a rustic rose colored medical case in one hand, and a scalpel in the other that she uses to attack. In terms of shoes, she wears dark boots that have dark red stains splattered on them. OUTREACH BONUS

AUTHOR'S NOTE That's the end of my champion! It's been awhile since I made a champion, so I was pretty nervous. I'm glad I finished though, and I feel proud with what I've done... except maybe the numbers, they've always been my weak point. Please point out any feedback (as detailed as possible!) so I know what needs to be improved upon! I hope you have a lovely day :D

This is added in as I received a comment about the "Renounced" portion of her title the Renounced medic. I will go ahead and paste my response here in the Author's Note: For "Renounced" I was using the definition that means "formally declare one's abandonment of (a claim, right, or possession).", which goes along with the her lore of her abandoning her claim to end her life, and instead to keep living.

I LOVE THIS CONCEPT. Finally a concept for a support that can use (potentially) ad items to increase her power ( more like as)

A renounced medic is someone who has given up medicine, so while it sounds cool, it makes no sense, since she still used it in her kit.

I expected more of a Valentine from Skullgirls as her appearance, of course less sexualized, but still a great concept regardless! Reminds me a little of Ana from Overwatch with the friendly fire mechanic [zombie-brand-clap]
