Alyssnia, the Seer of the Old Ones
NOTE: The first thing I want to say is that this champion idea was a bit of a themed challenge for myself, where I set out to try and design a champion based solely off of the gameplay of Shadow-priests in World of Warcraft. You don't need to know about the Shadow-priests in WoW to enjoy the champion-concept, but if you've played one yourself, you'll hopefully appreciate my creation just a tiny bit more.
Lore
Alyssnia was once a priestess on Mount Targon, who had been born and molded into her role as a servant and keeper of the sun and it's holy light. However, a hidden power lurked within the constellations that brought the Aspects their mighty powers. Within the array of suns and stars and their brilliant light hid darkness from beings far beyond the realm that Alyssnia knew, and those powers slowly began creeping through the world. This power was not evil, it was not the night, or any other sort of tangible dark, rather it was the concept of the empty reaches of space itself, the endless nothing. Alyssnia eventually rose to high-priestess and became one of the most revered mortals in her society, but that made her nothing but a perfect target for the tendrils of dark. They crept into her mind, and then the whispers began. Alyssnia, manipulated by the dark, began to envy the Aspects and their power, something she would never attain no matter how dutiful she was. She had been born to be their slave, tought to give her life to serving them and their sacred stars and suns. She had had had enough. So, Alyssnia embraced the dark and surrendered herself to it for the promise of power. That day, she destroyed her temple, killed dozens of her acolytes, as a fog inducing horrible visions spread throughout the land around her. Eventually, the Aspects came and she was driven off. But, she did not die, and she went to hide to gather her power and become more in-tune with the darkness she had been given.
Design
The darkness surrounding her would be, well, black, with a tint of dark-red to it. She wouldn't fly, but rather she would wear a gown that turned into flowing darkness at her feet that made it seem as if she floated. She would have a pristine, almost royal appearance, with many symbols to represent her being the priestess of this new dark power.

Abilities
Passive - Manicial Descent: Alyssnia's basic abilities generate Insanity, up to a cap of 100, which slowly decays outside of combat. Each point of Insanity grants Alyssnia 0.15/0.25/0.35/0.45% movement-speed, 0.5/0.10/0.15/0.20% increased CDR and CDR cap (increasing at lvl 6, 11, 16).
Additionally, when above 90 insanity, Alyssnia enters the Brink. While in the Brink, Alyssnia's abilities have bonus effects, do not generate insanity, and do not cool down, and she has access to her ultimate ability.
Q - Mindspike: Alyssnia sends out a fast-moving projectile up to 800 units forwards that pass through enemies and deals 60/90/120/150/180 + 0.3 Ap to all enemies it hits and generates 2 insanity for each until it collides with an enemy champion. Then, it explodes for 80/120/160/200/240 + 0.5 Ap damage and generating 8 insanity.
Brink: While at or above 90 Insanity, this costs 10 insanity and does not generate insanity. Instead, it deals 25% increased damage to all enemies.
Cooldown: 9/8/7/6/5 seconds.
W - Scour thoughts: Alyssnia tethers herself to a target enemy champion up to 750 units away, dealing 100/130/160/190/220 + 0.5 Ap to the target and generating 25 insanity over 3.5 seconds, the damage and insanity generation increasing over the duration. The target is also slowed for 40%.
_Brink: _ While at or above 90 insanity, this costs 10 insanity and does not generate insanity. Instead, Alyssnia can move during the duration, and the maximum tether distance is increased by 200.
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10.
E - Conjure nightmare: Alyssnia summons a Dark Hound formed of terror up to 200 units away, which attacks a random target for 15-80 + 0.2 ap damage per hit, unless a target is afflicted by Scour Thoughts, in which case it will focus that target and generate 5 insanity per hit. Immobilizing and AOE effects are 50% effective versus the Dark Hound.
Brink: While at or above 90 insanity, this costs 10 insanity and does not generate insanity. Instead, the Dark Hound gains + 50% attackspeed and movement speed.
R - Surrender to Madness: This ability can only be used while Alyssnia is at or above 90 insanity.
Upon activation, Alyssnia will release a malicious cloud of darkness that spreads out and afflicts all enemies within a 750 radius of her with Mind-plague, which deals 200/350/500 + 0.8 Ap over a 6 second duration. Additionally, she enters a state of pure madness.
During this duration, her insanity starts to drain at 2 per second, increasing cumulatively by 2 each second. While in this state, all of Alyssnia's basic abilities have the Brink bonuses activated at all times, but generate insanity and cool down as if it was not activate. Additionally, each time her Mindspike hits an enemy champion, the duration of Mind-plague on all active targets is increased by 1 second. This form lasts until she reaches 0 insanity, at which point she leaves the state of madness, and can not generate Insanity for 10 seconds.
Cooldown: 0/0/0
There we go, that was Alyssnia, a very convoluted but, in my opinion, cool champion design that I am proud of. Feel free to comment whatever opinion you may have on her below. :)
