New passive for GP - 'All non objective, CS or Kill gold becomes Silver Serpents' + more uses for SS

Hey there, Onwodori here.

I just wanted to articulate more concisely a concept I posted earlier this [Month?] - I think Gangplank would benefit immensely from Riot doubling down on Silver Serpents being integral to his kit and play. The bonus gold honestly pisses everyone off, as do his barrels - But, with my proposed rework, Gangplank, should he build items with these Silver Serpents, would inherently be more 'Utilities Strong' and less 'Blowing half your team away with an E + Q' strong. Here's the passive:

**NEW - Gangplank's Parrrley no longer plunders gold, but rather exclusively Silver Serpents at a rate of 「 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 Silver Serpents 」(These numbers are not final, just my guess at what would be sufficient) Gangplank additional receives a new passive as part of Parrrley

NEW - Passive: Plunder Priority - All gold that Gangplank would receive that does not come from Kills, Assists, last hitting minions or monsters (of any sort) or destroying structures is converted in a 1 : 1 ratio of Silver Serpents. Gangplank also has additional items only he can by at the shop with these serpents, as well as additional upgrades to certain abilities (Perhaps they would need to be more?)

This includes the Bandit passive that so many people are unhappy about ** Anyways, I think reviving a few of the Black Market Brawler items ( Source: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Black_Market_Brawlers ) and having it so that *only Gangplank can buy them *only with silver serpents would make life a lot more interesting for the guy. It would then be 'Blah, Gangplank has so much bonus gold, blah' and 'Woah what the heck is that item? He didn't one shot me but that was weird.' You would have to pay especially close attention to what items that he has purchased. The ones I'd have available would be:

NOTE - I do not feel qualified to place Silver Serpent values for each price, so disregard each gold value other than giving it perspective against other items in the game that cost gold.

Martyr's Gambit -

1850 Gold Cooldown reduction: +10% Health: +400 Health regen: +100% Active UNIQUE: Binds yourself to the target allied champion for the next 3 seconds, redirecting 60% of all damage dealt to them to yourself. 30 second cooldown. Crystalline Bracer item + Kindlegem item + 400 Gold

Flesheater -

1460 Gold Attack damage: +20 Life steal: +10% Passive UNIQUE: Basic attacks build Flesh charges. At 5 charges, you gain the ability to cast Flesheater. Active UNIQUE – FLESHEATER: Rip the flesh from the target enemy minion, dealing 200 (+75% AD) true damage and restoring 50 (+75% AD) health. Each cast of Fleasheater permanently increases the item's attack damage by 1. Limitations Melee only Vampiric Scepter item + Long Sword item + 300 Gold

Typhoon Claws -

2000 Gold Attack damage: +30 Attack speed: +20% Movement speed: +4% Passive UNIQUE – PHANTOM HIT: You generate a stack of Malice for 3 seconds each time you attack. At 3 stacks, your next 3 attacks occur in the span of one attack at maximum attack speed (for an effective attack speed of 7.5). The flurried attacks are modified to deal only 50% damage, but otherwise behave like standard attacks. Pickaxe item + Dagger item + 675 Gold

Mirage Blade -

3200 Gold Attack damage: +60 Crit chance: +15% Life steal: +12% Passive UNIQUE – MARK OF THE SANDS: Basic attacks apply a Mark of the Sands to the target, revealing them for 3 seconds. Only a single enemy can be marked at a time. Active UNIQUE – MIRAGE STEP: Blinks 350 units directly away from the marked target. 60 second cooldown. Vampiric Scepter item + Pickaxe item + Cloak of Agility item + 695 Gold

Puppeteer -

Puppeteer 2200 Gold Cooldown reduction: +20% Health: +250 Health regen: +50% Magic resist: +25 Passive UNIQUE – MANA FONT: Restores 2% of your missing mana every 5 seconds. UNIQUE: Basic attacks mark champions with a string for 6 seconds, which breaks if they move more than 1000 units away. Active UNIQUE: Pulls all marked champions up to 250 units toward you. 45 second cooldown. Chalice of Harmony item + Kindlegem item + 250 Gold

Again, aside from Mirage Blade, all of these are cheap, utility-centric items. Gangplank, lore wise, doesn't need to always be horrifically powerful and oppressive - he gets by on cheating and wits too, which smuggling these strange items onto the rift for his and his use alone definitely counts as such.

I hope you enjoyed and perhaps agree with my ideas - I would love GP to settle into a flexible, final place on the rift as a utility, fighter, mage - Perhaps he's going to rush Triforce and IE? Perhaps he's going to go full tank and be your support with Marty's Gambit. Pirates should be wily and unpredictable.

Thank you for reading,

-Onwodori

Real talk? I would play the heck out of full tank, Martyr's Gambit, Puppeteer support GP. Ruby Sightstone reduces item activation cooldown, yo.

Kind of an interesting idea, but I don't think many people would buy these items. GP is a hypercarry, so I dunno if delaying powerspikes on Trinity Force, IE, Duskblade etc is worth these niche little effects. I mean if you walking into lane with a flesheater and typhoon claws, you're going to get pub-stomped. People only play GP for the 1-shotting barrel AOE madness, and these items don't really do a lot to accentuate that. I know your point is to move GP away from that, but when you have a champ who's main ability is an AOE nuke, people are going to build for the later game teamfights almost exclusively in my opinion. Still though I'm not against the idea of maybe finding some way to make Silver Serpents more unique for GP.

Side note: If you're on support GP, plundering enough SS for those items is gonna be tough
