"Nostalgia" temporary game modes

So, with the new season still being somewhat....."new" people are constantly saying that X season was so much better or whatever and it just got me thinking....was it really? We usually always look at the past through rose colored glasses (I've been playing since s1 and disagree that s6 is currently the worst season, but that is besides the point) and have a series of game modes that would determine if s6 (or s7 if this is implemented next year) is really the worst season.

Each month (for 2-4 weeks) there would be a game mode the does its best to replicate previous seasons. It could be the World's patch or the "best" patch of the season it doesn't matter, but you would basically be taken back in time to that season. Only those champions would be available and we know Riot can implement new (or in this case, old) items in featured game modes as seen with BMB.

It would start with season 1 (or perhaps season 0) in the first month and then season 2 in the next one and so on and so forth.

I just feel like it would give some of the older players a nastolgia kick and the newer players a chance to see how far the game has come.
