Malzahar QoL

Possibility that Malzahar could have CC immunity from his TARGET during his ult? I'm tired of laning against a TF or Annie and getting interrupted simply because they got the cast off in time and realistically lucked out.

silence them first?

save your ult until after they stun

I would also like his E to target the next target with the lowest amount of health. I hate seeing 3 minions together, and when one dies to E it jumps to the full health one instead of the low health one.

It's one of the most frustrating parts of playing Malzahar and a lot of it is completely random. I'd love to hear from Riot just how much of Malz ult being interruptible by the target is intentional; is it supposed to be a reward for guessing the exact time that Malz will ult you or is it supposed to be capable of being responded to with amazing reflexes.

I do agree Malz needs help but this change removes any counterplay whatsoever for his ult. Already his ult can only be removed by a niche item that does nothing except MR for casters, and it requires a heavy investment. Right now you can time an interruption, but it's difficult. If you give him CC immunity, there is nothing stopping him from flash ult igniting you, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Annie might have a similar argument made for her, but you can stun her mid combo when she flashes in, and her combo is a stun, not a suppression, so it can be cut down by tenacity.

I think a more fair change might be to let him cast E mid channel - this still leaves opportunity for the opponent to fight back (viktor laying down stun pad, annie casting Q / ult once you flash in, etc), but enemies are punished harder if they fail to react in time.

If that were to happen he would be completely overpowered. Sorry to say, but his ult is one of the only ways he can be counter played. but yeah, 1v1 its all about timings. If he were to get any damage reduction in team fights he would be overpowered because he would have almost no counter-play and no way to help the person getting ult ed.

This is like complaining that a Galio ulted an Udyr who was in bear stance. Purely mistakes on your end. The only way you get stunned by these champions is if you try to initiate on them when they have their stun up, which is just stupid on your part. There is literally no way TF can stun you unless you try to ult him during the few seconds that he has a gold card up. As for Annie, try to silence her before going in. If you miss the silence, don't go in. Simple. Let me ask you this. Did you think about how this would play out against people who build QSS against you? If they QSS your ult, do they get to cc you? You said immunity during his ult and his ult still channels after being QSS'd.

People are actually up-voting this nonsense? Malz isn't great on the very, very high end of things where teams can coordinate to shut him down, but in all normal ELOs he's a very strong, almost dominant champ. He doesn't need any buffs. And just to be clear, he's my most played champ.

Weretiger54116/14/2015, 2:07:01 AM2 votes

Well he doesn't move which makes him immobile, so if not this then maybe have him gain health or armor and mr during his ult?

Wouldn't landing the q silence be the answer rather than this? Albeit its awkward to land, it should be for its damage and long silence. Landing the silence should let you pull this off rather than giving a buff because you cant hit a skillshot. Just my 2 cents

Malzahar isn't horrible. ived played him several hundred times, where i would like to see some changes is with his ult. His ult should get a buff. .5 sec immunity when ulting. this solves the problems like you mentioned, and all malzahar players have experienced that stupid pain of getting interrupted by your target. if not what i suggested, then urs is good enough. Also, he should get a speed boost buff if HE decides to cancel his ult.

Malzahar is very strong right now. That change would make him a lot stronger and isn't needed. Part of the skill of playing Malz is knowing when its safe to cast your ult.

Sounds like you just discovered that there are some cases where it's risky to cast your ult because it will probably get canceled. The moral of the story isn't to ask for buffs, it's to adjust your play.

Remember Soraka's old E? God I hated getting cancelled by that.
