"The Plague Of Terra" Aka a arc series of champion designs
I posted a champion concept way long ago but hated it since he just didn't fit well in the lore. But I been reworking him but pulled out some old ideas that I thought seemed very stupid but then was like not really sounds badass. No I don't have like you know abilities and other stuff right now. Why you may ask well mainly I want to make a story yes I know it would be "Fanfiction" But I am not going to slap like oh instant relationships or that crap. No I am going to work on the story the lore of this so hopefully one day Riot loves it and accepts it without changing really anything "Mainly Story Wise.". But the theme of this series is really damn dark. How dark? Well let's say the Soul's series, Bloodbourne, Dead Space (Mainly first one no space theme just how brutal), and the brutality of Warhammer had a baby and you get the most dark and gruesome setting ever. One of these champion concepts was praised by a person who works at Riot just how original and well thought it was. I can give a brief example of this champion named Zila. Why a weird name is cause well in the lore she and another person had to change there real names. She is a cheery, lovable, kind and caring, and sometimes to insane at what she loves to do. Zila is a engineer and refuses to change what she wants to do, cause growing up in Demacia she had to be the formal girl since her fathers side is Noble. But refusing that lifestyle which the mother and father were fine with cause she was smart and her future she helps almost bring the hatred the war with Demacia and Noxus. Sadly that never came to be after the greatest betrayal. Though before that future she hated Demacia not because what they stand for or the people. Zila mainly hated the city life and traveled meeting so many people she would call family and met a Yordle who become her greatest friend and partner which she grew fond of. Her design in-game would be that think of Gangplank for a second and his ult. Yes it is just a barrage of cannonballs. No think of his way he upgrades it by collecting coins. Zila does the same but different she collects scrap and the amount varies. Minions: Give out 10 scrap Jungle Monsters: Smaller ones give 15, Big ones like the big Krug and Wolf give out 25 or 30, Gromp gives 50 and buffs give 80 River: Scuttlecrab gives a random number of scrap, Rift Herald gives 100 same with dragons, Except for the Elder Dragon he gives out 200, Baron gives 500. Turrets: Each one are different. 1st turret in a lane is 100, 2nd 200, 3rd 300, Inhibitor 400, Nexus Tower 500. So what is scrap for? Well her ult which is her own made mech. And the amount of scrap depends on upgrades each upgrade you get make other upgrades more expensive. Why that you may ask? Well there are 5 places for her mech. The normal mech which you get at lvl 6 just punches charges and can grab enemies and charge into walls or bring them to your team to pick them off. But that will change since (Head,Arms,Chest,Legs,Feet) mainly arms will get rid of that. But remember getting one upgrade say for the arm wont truly get rid of that. Say a flamethrower you choose what arm gets it while the other arm can still grab enemies. You may think this is not really original right? Wrong cause there is a secret to Zila's ult. She learns from her allies. Say you have the Donger on your team, you get new upgrades cause she learns his tech style. Meaning she can either be given the choice of able to place turrets or be given a grenade launcher that stuns like the Dongers grenade stun. Zila can only get two special upgrades from certain champions. Champions that give special upgrades to her ult. Jhin: Gives her a Rail Gun cause of Jhin's ult mainly his weapon. Or be given a add-on to her head piece to mainly give her high damage like Jhin does. Heim: Stun Grenade Launcher, Turret Placement (Has a time limit on how long they will self destruct) Rumble: Improved Flamethrower, Or able to coat a area in fire. Garen, Tryndamere, Darius, Yasuo, Master Yi: Each one gives her a special melee add-on for her mech. Pretty easy to tell what weapon like items she gets.
Normal Upgrades Through Scrap. (Normal Upgrades you only can get one upgrade on the head and chest) Head: Crit Chance, Crit Damage Chest: Improved damage to self destruct, Chest beam. Arms: Flamethrower,Rifle (Jhin upgrade gives the Rail Gun), Melee (The champs that give special weapons have different effects), Gatling gun. Missile Pod Legs: Improved Move Speed, (Still have ideas to make for the legs) Feet: Jump Pad (Think of Tristanas rocket jump but when Zila jumps any enemy near her gets burned), (More ideas yet to come)
So how the mech works is that whatever upgrade you have mainly the Arms and feet change the Q,W,E, the R is to self destruct which can hurt you also but not allies. Say you have Missile Pod right but if it's on the Right Arm it's W but if it's the left Arm it's Q. You have to press them it won't just work on it's own, unless you have the Rifle, Rail Gun, Grenade Launcher, Gatling Gun they are mainly improved and powerful basic attacks. Same with melee weapons you don't have to press anything unless you have one of the special ones pressing Q or W gives it's special effects. There are many other certain champs that give her ult special trinkets but I need to still think on them. Anyways what would her role be like you ask? Well she can be all roles really except Jungle will be her choking point since she is squishy but if played right she can destroy even early game. But you also ask what about her normal kit that's not her mech.
Good question it's way still work in progress. But she is Ranged/Melee and she is strange very strange passive wise. She gains certain stats, buffs, and changes to her abilities depending who is on her team. As I said about her lore she refuses to stay one way. Normally if you have no special certain ranged champs her Q is her special made gun which changes if say Jhin is on your team. It changes to a rifle and no you can not change it back to it's normal form which is a customized pistol she made. But don't get mad about that it's a good thing cause here is the thing. Say you have a Graves along with that Jhin her pistol becomes a shotgun but has a special perk to it. Since Jhin is on the team it has a special barrel on it and press Q it deals a very nice ranged shot like Jhin's W but doesn't snare. But the only changes to her Q is certain Ranged Champions. So that is her ranged part but let's say you have pistol you only get 6 shots until she reloads. How she reloads well she holsters it and a special gadget she made which automatically after 10 seconds which you don't go back to ranged unless you want to by pressing Q again. Her W which is her favorite wrench you can switch to this if you want by pressing W or when she has to reload. And yes certain Melee champs changes her W and same style as her Q. Her E is a special device that gives buff to allies when near which can be customized at the start. She follows different paths on her E. Innocent: Makes her support path open Guilty: Making her abilites and ult stronger but making her way more squishy.
Now this is all I have for her but that is not the final design for her kit I might change things if you guys think it's to strong or not balanced. But her design is based on Change to make it more fun and exciting to play and to open more possible ways for synergies and team compositions. But I will be working more on the lore for her and other characters first before making any kits.
