Vraan the Dragonhunter

Alright here we go. I've had this idea for a long time, I just haven't submitted it because I'm too afraid of it being rejected and people saying WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU! or something like that. One of my friends convinced me to, so here it goes.

Champ Type- Ranged/Melee Roles- Jungle/Top

Lore- Vraan was born to a legendary tribe of Dragonslayers, the Aldrim. Their origins are near the northern border of Demacia, a place where they were able to live their lives out hunting the Dragons that so plentifully bred and lived in the mountains. Vraan disgraced his tribe by fleeing from a Legendary Storm Dragon that appeared during one of their hunts. When he returned to his tribe he was cast out, and he now wanders the land seeking to slay the Storm Dragon to regain his Honor.

Abilities-

Passive- Maim Vraan is a ruthless fighter and his attacks cause his opponents to attack and move more slowly for a time. His weapons also apply an on hit unstackable bleed effect for a small duration.

Q(1)- Tether Vraan tethers a target enemy to a wall, another enemy, and even himself for a few seconds. The tethered opponent can still move, but is unable to leave the radius of the tether. Think of it like that little wall at the beginning of the game when you all spawn at the fountain. You can move and attack, you just cant leave the radius. This power is only available when the Bow is equipped.

Q(2)-Brutality Vraan Swings his Claw-blades Viciously, rending flesh and bone alike. During this Duration Vraan gets an increased Attack speed, and increased movement speed.

W- Weapon Master(passive ability) Vraan Gains increased Attack Speed while his Bow is drawn, and increased Attack Damage while his Claw-Blades are Drawn. The Bonuses Do not carry over when he changes modes. So if I switch from bow to claws I lose the attack speed gain damage, and vise versa.

E(1)-Hookshot When Vraan has his bow out he can fire a hooked arrow from his bow. On contact it will pull Vraan to that location. Vraan can cast this ability on walls, similar to nautilus's hook, and enemies similar to Thresh's hook. Unlike both of these it does no damage, It's simply used for re-positioning.

E(2)- Dragonfire Blades Vraan ignites his Claw Blades causing a burn over time effect that deals true damage on hit. It's similar to yi's wuju style, but also ignite. Th duration of the damage does not stack, however the burn timer does reset on hit, and it can stack up to 3 times for increasing damage.

R- Weapon Redraw It's similar to Nidalee's Cougar form. You get a point in it right way.

I'd like to hear what you guys have to say about this idea. I realize that its definitely not happening, the're just too little to go off of. But it'd be interesting to hear what you guys have to say.

New Passive- Tracker Vraan randomly marks an enemy champion, prioritizing the highest kda and longest lived champions. When attacking them he gains bonus armor pen that increases at levels 6,11, and 16. There will always be a champion marked AFTER first blood. The passive will target a new random champion after a duration if they enemy champion didn't die. As well, Vraan will always mark the champion that last killed him, unless of course he just killed them beforehand and they were marked. Enemy champions cannot be marked twice in a row.

Very cool idea. It'd be awesome to see his interaction with people like Jarvan, Shyvana, the Drake, and Ao Shin when he comes out.

Well, lets break the kit down by stance first

Passive: Permaslow + bleed

Bow: Q: Tether CC, function's like a root W: Attack speed E: Nautilus anchor

Claw: Q: Attack speed/movespeed steroid W: Increased AD E: Stacking true damage bleed

First and foremost, there is a reason that Skarner and GP got reworks, and that is permaslows. Simply put, they are an uninteresting and binary mechanic. If you get hit by the first slow, you don't get away, if you don't get hit by the slow, you do. His Bow stance seems to be a sort of trapper and mobility while his Claw stance is more in your face damage. Bow sets up with a tether and hooking in, before swapping to claw for increased DPS. It's actually not a bad design overall, but there isn't much counterplay with the permaslow included. The kit would actually be perfectly fine without it. Also, the passive bleed in combination with the Claw E is a bit redundant, best way to make this guy interesting is to scrap the current passive in favor of something more thematic. You describe him as a dragon hunter, and keeping that in mind with his focus on taking down big game, a cool idea for a passive would be damage amplification/reduction against the strongest enemy champion, something like: Deal 10% increased damage to and take 10% decreased damage from the enemy champion with the best KDA.

Changed the passive to get rid of the permaslow, since it was pointed out to be an undesirable aspect in league. New passive- "Tracker" Vraan seeks the mightiest prey, as is tradition for his tribe. Vraan periodically marks an enemy champion at random. Champions with better KDA's and those that have gone the longest without dying are the highest priority. When attacking a "tracked" enemy Vraan will gain bonus Armor Pen. The Armor Pen will scale up at levels 6,11, and 16.

This adds a bit of a psychological aspect to him. The enemy will know if they are tracked, and they'll be forced to play extra careful, unless they want to get ripped and shot to pieces.
