Now, hear me out on this folks.

For our current line-up for the lovely Battlecast skin-line we have...

  • Viktor Creator - Viktor
  • Chogath Battle Tank - Battlecast Prime Cho'Gath
  • Urgot Shock Trooper - Battlecast Urgot
  • Velkoz Infiltrator - Battlecast Vel'Koz
  • Xerath Destroyer - Battlecast Xerath
  • KogMaw Artillery - Battlecast Kog'Maw
  • Skarner Assault - Battlecast Alpha Skarner

The current members of the Battlecast are all chess-pieces to Viktor's cyborg army-- each one with it's own task and role within the force. Cho'Gath, Urgot and Skarner are the front line skirmishers of this force, while support reigns in from Xerath and Kog'Maw from afar. Meanwhile, Vel'Koz slips through enemy lines to destroy them from the inside. And Viktor, of course, is the god-father of all of these malevolent machines.

But if Viktor has an army, then there's clearly more than just these seven. And if that much is true, it's kind of hard to believe that Viktor would go through all his time to make them on his own-- He has to command them, after all. He would need something else to make parts of his army for him... a Constructor, if you will...

#Behold: Battlecast Delta Malzahar.

#Abilities Of course, we wouldn't have our beloved Legendary skin without some nice ability edits first, no?

This would cover Battlecast Delta Malzahar with a protective red shielding formed from electric pulses emitted from him, sheathing him in a covet of raw energy.

Battlecast Delta Malzahar constructs two sets of missles to come across towards eachother, striking everything they go by.

Now this is where things get fun. Battlecast Delta Malzahar releases a swarm of miniature battlecast constructs to do his bidding, each one a small mechanical cybermenace. When there are three of them, they surge with electric energy, becoming much faster and stronger.

Battlecast Delta Malzahar enters explosive microbes into the target, causing mini explosions all around them. These microbes give off signals that cause the constructs that Battlecast Delta Malzahar creates to focus this target.

I always assumed Viktor captures and repurposes them in an attempt to both understand and defend against the overwhelming Void invasion. As far as I can gather, the void isn't a major threat (Jayce and stuff are actively fighting Viktor, after all), which means the Void was likely defeated or stopped before the invasion could begin in earnest.

Getting real fuckin tired of this "Malz is op!" charade.

So let me say this loudly so that everyone can here me.

#6.9 Malz rework was a nerf.

Yes. A nerf.

Malzahar was WAAAAY more powerful pre-rework. His ult could practically take away 80% of your health alone. Now it does little to no damage, only causing it to be effective when you combo off by E'ing them, having three voidlings out (so they beat them up when you ult them) and then you ult. Otherwise? Your ult is just literal jack shit.

As a Malz main, I cannot stress this enough.

Kass is still in need of some good skins. His skins are mostly crap and dated. In fact, he needs an entire VU. But this skin would look super cool on him!

He got a VU awhile back, and has some great skin updates to go with it. Plus his newest skin, Cosmic Reaver was awesome.

Eh Cosmic is ok, but not nearly as good as this skin or what could be done. I mean even an overhaul of the current skins would be nice, cuz atm he looks very dated (except for cosmic).

It's actually really hard to pull off that combo considering the fact that he has to have three+ voidlings for it to work well at all.

Also you'd have to be heavily out of position/not know how to play against Malz to fall for it. Like, seriously new Malz is so fucking easy to counterplay the whole fuss about him being overpowered is really stupid.

The new Malzahar is harder to counterplay than the old Malzahar. Now you can't just burst him down instantly because of his passive, but he still has an insane hard CC tool. Anyways, he doesn't need 3 minions before ulting, they build up during the duration of the ult when the target can't run from them.

For the last month, Malz has had the 3rd highest bad rate behind Zed and Swain and the 7th highest win rate in the game across all ranks. The only mid laners above him are Anivia and Swain. Check for yourself.

Yes, I'm very aware of Malzahar's idiotic and absolutely unreasonably fucking stupid ban rate because people can't get it straight that he's very easy to counter. But no, people refuse to learn how to counter him and instead just permaban him. That's usually how most high % bans go, the only one that doesn't follow this is Zed, because countering him is actually pretty hard and annoying.

People keep banning him because they don't know how to fight him, when really if you know how to counter him you're good.

Literally just

  1. Avoid his Q
  2. Don't be stupid and allow him to get lots of voidlings-- kill those off fast
  3. Do not get hit by his Q.
  4. His ult does literally nothing if he doesnt have voidlings to beat up the target for him while he sustains you.
  5. If nearby minions have his E on them, don't walk near them??? Like seriously I see this way too much it's absolutely stupid how many people don't get that concept like this should be Mid Lane 101 for fuck's sake.
  6. He's got his passive up? Auto him once. As soon as his shield goes down, burst him. His passive has such a high cooldown early game that just tiny pokes of damage make it so he's never got his shield. Be smart.
  7. Did I mention to not get hit by his Q? Yeah, don't do it. It's got a delay for a reason. Don't walk into it.
  8. Malz likes to be far away from people but just close enough to deal damage. Close that gap. He can't do anything if you're up in his face.

Seriously people. He wouldn't have that high of a ban rate if people actually took the time to understand how to counterplay against him.

Yes but that's only if he has his voidlings. Like I said, you literally have to have your voidlings on hand to make your ult of any use. Otherwise it deals little to no damage, and the assassin carries on with the kill.

So you jump him before he gets his voidlings. Which is pretty easy to do, since he has to build them up. It's literally just counterplay and timing, not that hard folks.

Just want to point out that Malzahar Q is actually much easier to hit after the rework, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to dodge without boots. Also, as someone who plays Zed a lot, he's counterable just as easily as Malzahar, especially at low elos, which makes me feel that his banrate is also mostly out of frustrastion, just like with Malzahar's. Cool skin idea though.

They did in fact decrease the delay by about .25 seconds, it's why they lowered the damage and silence.

I liked the old Q better, as it tied into him being a prophet where you "predict" where the target would be.

However they moved the delay to cast time and made Q an instant hitter kinda sorta.

This sounds way too much like every Yasuo main's "Yasuo isn't OP people just can't counter him" argument that has become a stereotype on the boards. Just compare yourself to every Yasuo main ever for a second so you realize how wrong you are.
