An ammo-based ADC (Very bare-bones)

Alright, before we start here, I want to make a few things very clear.

  1. This was made in about 15 minutes.
  2. The names aren't final, which is why some of them are jokes/referances.
  3. I don't have a huge grasp on the adc role as a whole, so I tried to leave numbers out as much as possible.
  4. Yes, this champion has AD _and _ AP scaling, so he can be taken mid as a mage. Think Miss Fortune/Kog'Maw

With that out of the way, here he is!

Cornelius, TEXAS RANGER (Not really) Uses a revolver. That carries 15 bullets. Nope! Sulghunter suggested a Winchester Repeating Rifle instead. Sounds cooler, is a little less absurd!

Passive - Locked and Loaded Cornelius uses ammunition for his abilities instead of mana. His gun can carry up to 15 bullets at a time. Attempting to use an ability with no ammunition will cause Cornelius to channel while he reloads 4/5/6 bullets per second. Cornelius may move during this time but cannot attack or use abilities. Attempting to do so will cancel the channel and stop reloading, leaving him at the amount of ammo he has already loaded.

If Cornelius would exhaust his ammunition, he gains a final, loaded bullet which can be used on any of his abilities, empowering them. This effect has a small cooldown.

Q - Fan the Hammer Toggle: Increases attack speed and critical chance at the cost of ammunition per shot. Automatically toggles off when the last bullet is reached.

Locked and Loaded - If the last bullet is fired in this fashion, it is a guaranteed critical strike. If this shot gets a killing blow, Cornelius is regains the empowered bullet immediately.

W - Concussive Shot 2 ammunition Fires in a narrow line. The first target hit is slowed and takes minor magic damage (AD)(AP).

Locked and Loaded - The target is instead stunned, and Cornelius gains a decaying burst of movement speed.

E - Ricochet 2 ammunition Fire a bullet in a target direction that deals moderate physical damage (AD)(AP). If it collides with a wall, it bounces to an enemy dealing bonus damage (AD)(AP). (Prioritizes champions)

Locked and Loaded - The bullet instead explodes on impact with any surface (including champions) and deals full damage to all nearby enemies.

R - North Star 9/7/5 ammunition Fires a single bullet that deals high physical damage to a target enemy champion or epic monster (AD)(AP). If this ability kills its target, it will explode and deal a high flat amount of physical damage to all nearby enemies, ignoring and reducing a portion of their armor. This effect can chain (on champions and epic monsters only) at reduced damage and blast radius.

Locked and Loaded - The bullet explodes weather the target is killed or not.

That's it!

The idea was made quickly so it's very incomplete, but I'd be super happy to hear suggestions/feedback to hear your opinions on this! :)

I'm excited to see what y'all think.

P.S. Ammo would kind of be cool for a Graves or Cait update, since they're reworking Marksmen soon.

Edits!

  • Changed North Star (R) Ammo cost from 3 to 9/7/5.
  • Changed North Star (R) Explosion damage from flat true to flat physical with an armor % ignore + reduce. (Think crazy GP barrels) * The armor reduction is intended to make the ability useful for A: Cleaning up a fight, or B: Starting a fight (with the final bullets guaranteed explosion.)
  • Changed Gun type.
  • Changed Passive Description slightly.
  • Updated damage types to all abilities. (Woops! This should have been done in the first place.)

not kay, even tho Graves have like 6 bullets it's large

And they calls it a "gun"

so yours would be a "cannon"

That's actually a really unique concept imo. I like it. I do however have a couple suggestions and a question. First, I'd suggest that with such a high damage potential on the ult that it should cost more than just 3 bullets. I would think closer to 10, dropping to 5~7 at max rank so that he couldn't blow his full combo AND ult immediately. Second, if he's going to have ad and ap scaling (idk if he would actually deal both types of damage, or if he'd only be physical etc), maybe have his ult not blow up for true damage, but maybe a buffed amount of physical.

Finall, the question. If you cancel the Reload before reaching full ammo would he keep the bullets he already loaded or would he have to channel for the full ammo clip before getting any?
