Got no idea why people are constantly complaining about being banned for small hiccups and I'm still seeing '(Insert role here) or afk/feed' in my lobbies.
Edit: I feel that I should add that these players, especially when they don't get their desired roles, are incredibly volatile and toxic if they fail to afk like they proposed, leading to a barely possible 4v5 falling into a team full of 4 people on tilt and a troll.
That's not how it should be, eh?
I wish I had more "ADC or AFK". It's hard to find a good ADC to lane with.
why can't everyone just be "fill or feed?" :c
Personally I can't comprehend why anyone would be so one-dimensional as a player. I don't play ranked not because I'm not interested, but because I know I'm not good enough in a couple of roles to be flexible. I could do jungle, ADC or support now, but I'm still perfecting mid and top. I'll never end up typing "ADC or feed" because if I don't get ADC I can move to a different role.
I do have a few friends who specialize in one role for the most part, but they are starting to learn new positions because they understand that they might not get their preferred role every time. Sure they are much better at one than at the others, but none would ever be a "X or feed" type.
I almost wish that League could enforce some kind of "you must be at a certain skill level in multiple champs and roles before you play ranked." However, I know it would fail for two reasons. First, how could you set the skill levels fairly. And second, it wouldn't prevent trolls from being "ADC or AFK" in champ select.
The only other option would be to have their chat audit algorithm watching for that kind of comment in the champ select lobby and then reviewing the summoners in game performance and having a threshold of say, More than 10 deaths or fewer than 50 CS and you receive an immediate 2 week ranked ban and one week total ban. It would stop the comment being used and also make it clear that such behavior will get you banned.
Frankly if anyone is dying more than 10 times in a 30 minute game, they should be stopped from playing ranked games until they are off tilt, but that's another argument.
