1 vs 1 System

1 vs 1 is pretty fun in league of legends, it'll tell who is better between your friends, etc (yes you can make a custom game, but keep reading). I go to a school with my friends and he wagered me 2 dollars but I didn't really want to pay him so I thought of this!

  • Howling Abyss map

  • 1 Ban each side

  • 1 vs 1

  • wager (max 1000ip per game and per day or week)

  • max 3 wager 1 vs 1 per day

  • Unlimited normal 1 vs 1 (no wager)

  • For lazy people that doesn't wanna make a custom game (me)

  • Instead of having it in the play menu, right click on the player you want to 1 vs 1 and select "Invite to duel"

  • Both players have to press the accept button so you can accept wager match (only for wager match)

  • No ip, no exp gain but you get champion points

  • EDIT: add level limit, or needs to be near your level. example 5 level difference, level 25 vs level 30, or level 20 vs level 25. This way you cant just make 10 different accounts and gift your main account ip and would have to level up all your accounts close to your main

also am I the only one that gets stuck in "Retrieving data from server"?

I have thought of this as well. My friends and I like to do 1v1s locally and it would just be much more appropriate to have a game mode tailored to 1v1. I too have had issues getting stuck on "Retrieving data from server" when making custom games.

I sense ip gifting through this and riot seems to be very keen on not letting us gift ip

I think if you make it to where you can wager smaller amounts of IP or RP, and have a max you could wager against one person I think that it wouldn't be gifting and would be more worth it to a player to play a simple game then make 10 different accounts and 1v1 with them all and wager the max.

They actually did this once with a featured game mode. It was on the howling abyss map and you won if you killed the enemy once,killed a certain amount of minions or destroyed their tower.

Originally it was planned to become a permanent game mode with its own lava themed map,but the mode proved to be unpopular(maybe even the most unpopular featured game mode),so they scrapped the new map.

However it is possible that this mode comes back as a featured gamemode.
