Arzak Reyos, the Battle Chef

Hello, what I've got here is a concept for a battle mage, who's true strength lies in the ability to increase his damage through channeling. A full AP burst style of play would be possible, but the high ratio's in his kit, combo'ed with a melee attack range, and the way his passive works, make building him as an AP bruiser, the better option. Since I'm a truly terrible artist, I'll just leave you with a description of this champion. Picture this, a short humanoid, wearing a grey trench coat, and a white chef's hat. The coat is well worn, and spotted with patches. The hat, is a different story. It is spotless, almost glowing with an inner radiance. Beneath the hat lies a heavily-bandaged face, to the point where only the eyes are visible. At his waist, hangs a brass ladle, shined till it gleams in the sun. On his back, a massive silver cauldron attaches to straps on his torso. The cauldron is covered in symbols, their meaning lost to time.

Base Stats Health: 500 - 1790 Health Regen: 6.89 - 16.25 Mana: 355 - 1120 Mana Regen: 10.07 - 17.7 Attack Range: 175 Attack Damage: 54.4 - 109 Attack Speed: 0.629 + (0 - 30.7%) Armor: 23.1 - 88.9 Magic Resist: 31.1 - 46.5 Move Speed: 330 Faction: Independent Race: Unknown

Abilities

P: Garnish Arzak's abilities can all be channeled, for up to 5s. Channeling the ability increases its effects, or grants it bonus effects. Arzak can move freely while channeling, but cannot attack, with CD's for abilities beginning after the channel ends. If Arzak takes more than 14 - 36% of his max health, or is hard CC'd, the channel is canceled, and the ability is replaced with Mystery Meat. Once an ability becomes Mystery Meat, it will stay as that, until it is consumed.

Mystery Meat: Range: 700 Mana Cost: 0 CD: 0

Arzak targets himself or an allied champion, healing them for (5 - 25) + (0.75 Bonus AD) + (0.05 AP). After being healed, the unit will be slowed by 10 - 30%, and will take 10% increased damage for the next 3 seconds. Consuming another Mystery Meat within three seconds, resets the debuff timer.

Q: Pan-ferno Range: 800 Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 CD: 14/13/12/11/10

Arzak kindles a flame in his pan, slowing himself for 15%. Reactivating this ability throws fire in an AOE line, dealing magic damage, from 5/8/11/14/17 + (0.30 AP) to 80/120/150/180/210 + (1.20 AP), and slows from 30% to 80% for 1 - 2.5s.

W: Simmering Speed Range: Self-cast Mana Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 CD: 22/20/18/16/14

Arzak brings the cauldron on his back to a simmer, before sipping on the broth within. This heals Arzak for 10/15/20/25/30 + (0.20 AP) to 30/35/60/75/90 + (0.60 AP). This skill also increases Arzak MS for 5/9/13/17/21% to 15/27/39/51/63%, for the next 5s.

E: Pot Roast Panic Range: 500 - 1250 Mana Cost: 80 CD: 18/17/16/15/14

Arzak sets up his infamous Pot Roast, throwing it in target direction, dealing 20/25/30/35/40 + (0.25 AP) to 90/110/130/150/170 + (1.20 AP) magic damage in a 350 unit AOE. If Arzak had channeled for at least 2s, this ability fears all enemy units struck for 1.3s. The longer Arzak channels, the greater the range of this ability.

R: Scauldin' Cauldron Range: Global Mana Cost: 100 CD: 120/100/80

Passively, Arzak takes 10/15/20% less damage while channeling.

Arzak brings his cauldron to a boil, turning perfectly good soup, into liquid fire. While channeling this ability, Arzak is rooted. Activating this ability again, or reaching the max channel time, launches a ball of molten terror in target direction, dealing 100/150/200 + (0.50 AP) to 300/450/600 + (1.50 AP). If Arzak channeled for at least 3s, this ability will deal splash damage around the initial target champion, equal to 25/50/75% of the pre-mitigation damage dealt.

Lore

"What a good day", Arzak thought. A smile stretched the bandages laced across his face. The sun was shining, the wind was breezing, and the soup was cooking. The scent of winter mushrooms, onions, and just a hint of black pepper filled the air. He turned, and look at his guest. "What a beautiful day to share a meal", he thought. "Days like these make the Freljord such a wonderful place", he said. "Don't you just love this sun?". His guest stayed silent. "I suppose you must be hungry", Arzak chuckled, "Don't worry, the soup will be done soon." The soup began to simmer. The sweet sound of birdsong filled the air. Then the soup began to boil. As the cauldron steamed, Arzak took his ladle from his belt, filling a nearby bowl to the brim. He walked over to his guest. "Maybe some food will loosen those lips of yours?". His guest, a Frostguard warrior, stared silently back at him. "Perhaps not.". Arzak smiled again, then tossed the soup over his guest. The screams of the Frostguard rent the air, silencing the pleasant birdsong. Arzak walked back to his cauldron of soup. Stirring it slowly, he turned to his prisoner, chained to the frozen earth. As the screams subsided, the birds began again, their clear chorus. "How about now, my friend?". In a hoarse voice, his prisoner spoke a single word, "Yes". Arzak ladled himself a bowl of soup, then walked over. "What a good day", he thought to himself.

Wow... This champion is both creative and hilarious. The names on the abilities could not be better! Maybe with a few tweaks to make his abilities more interesting this could be a great champion! <3

I went into this expecting a shitstorm of terrible ideas, and after reading only the passive, I already loved it. I wasn't so sure about the concept at first but the execution was just wonderful. Great job and GL in the CCOS!
