Mordekaiser Rework/Update Concept
I personally feel that the current iteration of
isn't too far away from being an interesting, effective and healthy champion. This is just a rework/update concept I came up with in the hopes to give riot some ideas on where to go or what to do with him.
Iron Man: Mordekaiser shields himself for an amount (specified under the abilities) upon dealing damage with his abilities. The shielding gained is halved against minions and monsters and decays rapidly out of combat. The maximum shield value is equal to 25% of Mordekaiser’s maximum health.
Mace of Spades: Active – Unchanged Shield Gained: 5% of max shield per hit
Harvester of Sorrow: Active: Mordekaiser targets an allied champion or minion and for the next 4 seconds, both Mordekaiser and the target deal 20/30/40/50/60 (15% AP) magic damage in an area of effect around themselves every second for the duration. The damage stacks when the auras overlap. Active – Second Cast: Mordekaiser constricts the area, dealing magic damage to all enemies near himself and his ally as well as healing himself and his ally for the same amount, from up to 2 enemies hit in their respective areas. Healing is reduced when harvesting minions. Harvest damage: 40/80/120/160/200 (40% AP). Damage does not stack in overlap area. Heal per enemy: 40/80/120/160/200 (40% AP). Heal vs minions: 10/20/30/40/50 (5% AP) Recasting has been unchanged. Shield Gained: 1% max shield per enemy hit, does not generate double shielding in overlap area.
Note: Damage was lowered to approximately 66% of current aura damage to account for the slightly buffed Harvest damage and AP ratio as well as the potential for the auras to stack, essentially increasing the aura damage to 1.3 times more damage than prior. AP ratios have also been changed so that, dealing full damage will result in an AP ratio of about 1.0
Siphon of Destruction: Active – Damage unchanged. Shield Gained: 5/7.5/10/12.5/15% max shield per enemy hit
Children of the Grave: Passive – Dragonforce: Mordekaiser’s basic attacks and abilities curse the dragon for 10 seconds. Active – Mordekaiser blasts the target enemy champion, dealing magic damage as well as cursing them with creeping death for the next 10 seconds. Cursed champions take magic damage every second, with Mordekaiser healing for 100% of the damage dealt. Creeping death grants Mordekaiser a movement speed boost towards the afflicted, increasing in potency the closer Mordekaiser is to the target, but decreasing in potency the farther away the target is from Mordekaiser. Damage unchanged. Curse: If Mordekaiser’s team scores a takedown on the cursed target, he temporarily enslaves their soul as a controllable ghost. The ghost has the stats of the victim. While having a ghost, Mordekaiser generates 1% of his maximum shield per second while in combat. Shield Gained: 1% max shield per tick
Note: Dragon ghost adjusted stats (movement speed and range) are unchanged.
I just wanted to highlight the aspects of his current kit that were removed so that these changes don't overly buff morde. Removed: Passive minimum shielding Harvester of Sorrow Movement speed Harvester of Sorrow Exp passive Ghost stats buffing Morde Morde stats buffing ghost Siphon of Destruction bonus shielding towards champions. (This was re-tuned due to altered passive)
Here's some highlights of what was (re)introduced to his kit. Introduced: Iron Man only decays out of combat Iron Man shielding amount is now based upon a percentage of his shield value, instead of a percentage of the damage dealt. (Think Swain ult heal changes) Harvester of Sorrow aura stacking Harvester of Sorrow aura deals damage even with auras separate Mordekaiser gains a movement speed boost towards the target of his curse
