Rioter Appreciation Thread

I have noticed that a large portion of the threads that rioters post on contain a lot of hostility towards Riot and their employees. Many times people respond to these rioters with insults and hate; so, in contrast, I'd just like to thank you hard working rioters for bringing us the best you can to make the League of Legends the best game in history. The way you rioters stay professional when facing the hostility is truly admirable and I'm sure there are many of us out there that truly appreciate what you do. With this thread I would like to help give a voice to that part of the community.

To also add a more specified respect point, I've just started messing around with Blender and major 3D modeling for an undergraduate research project. After cobbling together a 1000+ piece assembly with only 1 month of learning and practice I have a lot more respect for the amount of work rigging and sculpting all those character models.

I would like to thank one of my favorite Rioter that I played against long time ago and recently for 1000th wins, Riot K, as K inspires me to draw on paper and soon on photoshop, paint-tool SAI and paint.

i wish i could say i love riot and all of its employees... i really do...i use to love the ever loving hell out of riot but right now riot and LoL are like the drug i'm hooked on and i just cant kick the habit... i use to get that "high" of getting giddy at plays and having a load of fun in each match... then i started paying attention to patch notes and specializing in certain champions for the roles i played... since then its been harder and harder to get that "high" because everything has been based around LCS

(yeah, yeah, yeah, hate on me for bringing it up but check the 4.12 patch notes "Welcome to patch 4.12! With only a few patches between now and the League of Legends World Championships, our focus is on the competitive scene and the things we can do to ensure the landscape is diverse and healthy." with other such comments in other patch notes)

which makes things a lot less fun when things are nerfed because someone is 10000% better than you and getting paid to play the game you play casually... now i play the game because i'm bored, most games that have evenly skilled teams are pretty "meh" bland due to all the same champs being played (because riot has nerfed most other champions out of viability of other lanes or in some cases the lane they were designed for...anyone seen a zyra mid lately? calling all lux?), and ive stuck around hoping riot will correct their path and start buffing champions instead of nerfing others... you remember that " Renekton bar" thing where they were buffing top laners to match him? that was nice but then we see mages getting nerfs because they dont want to be supports anymore... then there are the champions riot refuses to nerf because the part of the community that plays them (lee sin) has cried out about not wanting him touched... where was that love for Sona? riot hasn't resent their intentions of reworking her instead of buffing her because of the public outcry that the thread revealing the rework received...

Long story short: I LOVED the work Riot and its employees did in Season 3 and i have a small bit of hope that i could say that about Season 4 but it will take a lot of change and back tracking from the heavy handedness of the balance team balancing for LCS and more towards your casual players who make up 99% of your player base... you may make thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars from your LCS but i'm sure you make more from your micro transactions of your casual player base over the course of the year :|

Down voting my post because you don't agree with the contents doesn't change the facts! If it did i'd down vote my own posts just to see the Sona rework stopped, the forgotten mid laners/bot laners buffed, and change peoples general hate for supports doing anything but being the meg (the ward bitch/heal botz/ "stand there and take the hits for the ADC while HE acts like YOU'RE the one who's playing badly) for the team! However things don't work that way, so you can either voice your arguments like big boys and girls OR you can down vote my comment into oblivion because you're afraid of making any kind of intellectual response... either way the facts are the facts :|

You guys at Riot really did well on this game. It's my second favorite game (sorry Xenoblade takes first) and I absolutely love it. Sometimes it gets boring like "oh I wish i had a fun new champion to play" but then I'm just like "Oh maybe I could mess with Poppy, or work on learning Yasuo (who i suck so very bad at) or just do some weird troll team with my friends like Irelia/Velkoz top lane." And I adore reading the red posts and stuff on S@20 and you guys are super cool as people as well. I would love to meet some of you at a convention someday. So arigatou gozaimasu to all of you at Riot. WP you made a very GG.
