[Boards] Ambiguous descriptions
Miscellaneous Board:
There are an awful lot of other boards. Are you sure your post doesn’t go in one of them? It’s definitely possible. We just want to double-check. Well, anyway. If it doesn’t fit anywhere else, Miscellaneous is probably the board for you. Of course, that doesn’t mean anything goes. Stick to the Rules, and make sure you vote for the content that you want to see more of.
GD Board:
This is the wild wild west. Unlike the rest of the boards, anything goes. That is, unless it violates the Universal Rules. HAVE FUN KTHXBAI.
Gameplay & Balance Board:
Here you’ll find all sorts of discussions related to playing League of Legends. From discussions about your personal strategies, to speculation about the next champion or patch, if it’s about playing the game, it goes here. This is not a Board for gameplay bugs, please head on over to Report a Bug for that.
Tips & Tricks Board:
The Tips & Tricks boards is for anyone wanting to improve at League of Legends. Whether your a new player wanting to learn how to jungle, or an experienced player hoping to optimize for a role or champion. If you're looking for guides or advice, or have some to share, welcome home.
Now based on how I've seen them used, I would guess that Miscellaneous is for misc-but-still-related-to-LoL content, while GD is for anything, no matter how unrelated. I'd also guess that the difference between Gameplay and Tips is experienced vs noob questions/topics. However, this isn't codified anywhere, for any of these four boards, and that makes it confusing, especially when getting it wrong means your post is deleted.
