What Is The Purpose Of Boards?

Alright, so after reading up on what everyone here was saying on the boards, it really started to aggravate me. I'll be honest with the intentions for this post, I intend for it to get hundreds if not thousands of upvotes so Tencent (not Riot) can read what I, and many others have to say about this game. Also, this is not a ''We want SoloQ post''

So, I'll start off with a simple question. What's the purpose of the boards? Is it for the community to say what they think, in the hopes that after a while a Rioter will have the time to reply with news about what the people want. Or, is it just a black hole where everyone says what they think, but after it being obvious that it's not positive, it just gets sucked up and forgotten the next day. I'm leaning towards the latter. I've only used the boards for the past few months, and what I have seen is quite honestly disgusting. There have been hundreds. I mean HUNDREDS of posts about how the COMMUNITY wants SoloQ, only to be ignored and occasionally talked about in an ''update'' post. Even then, what they have to say isn't satisfying enough to stall the posts for even a while. The worst part? Out of these hundreds of posts, at least half of them have appeared on the front page with 50-400 upvotes each time.

And I don't want anyone to say how ''maybe the Rioters don't have time to see what we have to say'' because I have seen many Rioter responses to what people have to say, albeit they have been extremely rare nowadays, there have also been posts that have been taken down.

I can honestly say I hate how this game is moving along right now. Think. Only about 1% of the league community uses the boards. If there have been HUNDREDS of posts about how we wanted SoloQ, imagine how many others are thinking the same thing. I think it's obvious that whoever owns and makes the decisions for League doesn't give a damn about what players have to think. Honestly, that's what pisses me off the most. I have thousands of hours on this game. Thousands. And there are many more people that have almost the same, if not more hours than I do. So I'll be quite honest. If I were to make a post that would get hundreds of upvotes without anyone in charge saying anything, I would get angry. Wouldn't you? Isn't my opinion worth anything?

It's like you're working at a job and there's a complaint box. Plot twist, the complaint box is a trash can that filters into a garbage disposal. After you see more and more people start putting in their complaints, only to be rewarded by an occasional ''we hear what you're saying'' that gives no information whatsoever, wouldn't you get angry? Wouldn't you want to quit your job? Right now, there are so many other problems with the game besides SoloQ that many people aren't addressing. Like losing 21 Lp a game, yet gaining 14, due to losing to premades, and other unbalanced things.

Honestly, Tencent, Riot, Morgan Freeman, whoever the hell is running the company. Although you may want to just be a greedy person that'll most likely wind up in hell might I add, consider what would happen if you listen to the community for once. Maybe the people who play your game know what they're talking about. Maybe if you listened to them and stopped thousands if not millions from leaving the game, you'd make more money in the long run.

But hey. I'm just another statistic that has nothing worthwhile for you to listen to.
