I was talking with another Rioter and he didn't know. I WONDER HOW WIDESPREAD THIS IS!

Instead of making bullshit posts like this, could you actually read the forums and respond?

That would be great.

Did you know you can't view the results without voting? That's sad.

However the character limit for poll is ridiculous and the question count limit likewise.

Polls are nearly useless. I had a post with 1k views and a poll at the bottom with a simply yes or no style question. At most I think i got 70 people to do the poll... Why bother. Also setting up polls are a pain (they were before anyways; not sure recently).

This may have been brought up before, but IMHO, polls actually detract from upvoting/downvoting on a page! I've done some experimenting with this and have noticed that a post with a poll has a significantly increased chance of not receiving either an upvote or downvote. I wonder if it would make sense to integrate such dynamic in voting with the poll such that the poster of the poll can check (either upvote/downvote) for each item in the poll. When the poll options are listed, they would display if an upvote or downvote were associated with the vote.

Will posters abuse this? No! Why? Because if they don't offer a downvote option, it is unlikely they will get a response for either their poll or their post vote. If anything, I hypothesize that lack of a negative (downvote) poll item with the presence of an upvote associated poll item will likely stem in an unanswered poll and a manual downvote.

What does everyone think?

I found that polls are extremely usefull on this Boards to keep a thread floating, especially on controversial threads.

When People disagree, they are more likely wanna do something, give them a Poll to downvote and they probably won't downvote the Thread as well.

Since you are drunk. When is chronological going to automatically quote nested replies.

Don't make me make a poll wanting this answer.
