it's more than 2 years, can you fix the chronological view already?

reading threads in the discussion view is very convoluted and inconvenient for long discussions (especially since they don't even have pages but that "show more" stuff) while reading threads in the chronological view you read a lot of posts which are answers to some other posts and you don't know to what posts they are answers. it was asked two years ago already, is it that hard to automatically add a link to the parent post for any post in the chronological view? you know, there is a reason why forums with forked threads died out more than a decade ago
