Am I the only one that thinks that polls on the boards are... Kinda silly?

Okay, so when I go onto a lot of balance posts, I see a poll at the end somewhat often.

I hope I'm not the only one that thinks that most of these polls are redundant because only in very rare cases will the poll be voted a majority "no" and not be downvoted to oblivion.

The people that come to the threads of the polls generally will agree with the poll, upvote the thread and move on, or the opposite. So the polls don't give any real feedback that the upvote/downvote system doesn't.

Obviously it's easier for someone to upvote/downvote but it seems every time there is a correlation between majority vote and upvotes and downvotes

The only exception I see to this is for things that collect actual data like "Which of these is your favorite champion" or the polls like "Who would win, DIana or Thresh"

Both of these are polls that are generally non-biased from the OP.

Maybe it's just me, but do you guys think that the polls are overused and used for the wrong reason?
