{Suggestion} Opening Non-Riot Links w/ Middle Click
Hi all! (again)
I personally don't like opening things in the same tab as I am currently viewing, so I middle-click most links to open them in a new tab. The problem arises with non-Riot links. Whenever you middle-click those links it opens the same thread in a new tab, when you are in this new tab you can then click the unsafe link which opens the "I'm going in" popup, and when you click "I'm going in" it opens the unsafe link then in a new tab (making 3 tabs, original thread, new thread, unsafe link).
The problem I see here is that it seems more like there just isn't a warning/note that says something like "The link you just clicked will open in another tab". I guess that is more of what is throwing me off more than the behavior. So I have a couple of suggestions to help remedy this because I'm sure I'm not the only one that does this:
- Add a note to the "I'm going in" pop-up that says something like "The link will open in a new tab".
- Remove the ability to middle-click and instead have middle-click just bring up the popup and then when the user clicks "I'm going in" have it open the link in a new tab as it normally does.
Both would put my mind, and anyone that is like me mind's at ease that their tab (and maybe their long well thought out comment they typed) is safe.
